Nell is still alive

As you arrive at the bottom of the slope, you find Adi dead. Nell is still barely alive but fading. You think he'll die if you try to remove him from the sword that impales his chest. You prepare your mind to cast a healing spell and speak the words, touching his abused body. His breathing eases and the bleeding slows. Gently and slowly you pull the sword from his body. The bleeding starts again. You cast the spell again, and the wound closes. He's still very damaged, but you think he'll survive.

Now you turn to Adi, stripping his backpack and clothes off. His tunic reaches your knees so you put it on. The blood has dried. You take his bedroll and Nell's to make a bed on the forest floor. You roll Nell onto the bed and cover him with a blanket. You lay next to him, holding his slowly mending body. You both fall asleep.
