Narrator - Interview with Roy McRose

Zack got into a few more fights before the end of the month, not many, just a few. Then the new School Principal, Jack Hartburn, put his foot down and brought it all to an end, with some help of course. Believe it or not, Brandon even helped Zack in some of those fights. I do remember one particular fight. Daniel Mulder wanted some payback from his earlier fight. He was a senior, a really, really big guy, and part of Shawn's group. I guess you could say he was the muscle. And Zack, well he's a great guy, the best there is. But sometimes, he just won't buckle and let things slide, and that gets him in trouble every once in a while. So there he was with his other friends trying to land a punch on giant Mulder, while Mulder tried to smack my blue-eyed boy. Part of the reason he couldn't was that Sylvie Starr, of all people, had somehow, climbed up on Mulder's back, and was screaming in his ear like a banshee as her tiny fist rained down on his face to distract him. Finally, Brandon showed up and charged Mulder, brought him down, and finished him off. Brandon was a big surprise for everyone.

Well, there were a lot more things that happened to my blue-eyed boy that year, and the years after that helped shape him and his friends, and not just a few fights. Much as I hate to admit it, dating Lisa was one of them. I'd like to tell those stories and maybe I will some other day.

Robert Ravers never did buy that Cabin at the very ass-end of Silver Lake. It was bought, fix and flipped. The Bishops and Woodsens bought it together. It is still owned by a Bishop and a Woodsen.

But there was one thing about that time that I couldn't figure out. What happened to Wessterhof? When I found out what he did to Diane it made me angry and wondered what had happened to him? Was justice done?. Finally the hints and clues Bonnie gathered brought me to someone I never expected. Roy McRose.

Narrator: "Do you know what happened to Wessterhof?"

Roy McRose {nodding}: "I knew this day would come."

Narrator: "Well, do you?"

Roy McRose : "yeah I do."

Silence

Narrator: "So what happened?"

Roy McRose : "I killed him."

Narrator: "W-W-What"

Roy McRose : "I killed him... I ripped his throat out."

Narrator: B-B-But how? Why?

Roy McRose : "Well... Back when I bought Zack the Sgian Dubh I also bought a Seax, a dirk or a short sword. When I saw it, I felt it in my gut that I was going to need it. Charlotte always tells me to follow my instinct."

Narrator: "How?"

Roy McRose : "Well we took him out to Silver Lake. Tied him up and weighed him down. I hit him with the Seax. Only problem was, it got stuck. Wouldn't budge. When I pulled hard on it well... it ripped his throat out.

Narrator: {horrified} But why?

Roy McRose : "Why? He threatened my Mates and my Cubs! That's why! What kind of Husband and Sire would I be if I can't protect my own?"

Narrator: "But the police..."

Roy McRose : "The police would have exposed everything. Every girl that those bastards took would have been exposed. But more importantly, Diane would have been exposed. What he did to her almost broke her mind. Going to the Police would mean having Diane relieve that experience all over again. She didn't want to go through that again. Charlotte didn't want that either. I, didn't want her to have to relive that horror again. So... I did what I had to do to keep my Mates and my Cubs safe from monsters like that. I did the only thing I could think of, I ripped his throat out."

Narrator: "That's horrible!"

Roy McRose : "Ay lass it is... It is horrible... And I still have nightmares about it. Wouldn't wish it on anyone else. Tell your Zack to be careful"

Narrator: "Does-?"

Roy McRose : "Ay lass, they both knew. They were waiting for me when I got back."
