Myada: Tuesday

"...And the three soldiers made it back, unharmed."

Those were words she was starting to hear less and less, but any good news is a welcome relief at this point.

"Thank you. You're dismissed." Myada informed the soldier.

The soldier left through the flap in the tent, and Myada went back to looking over the soldier roster.

They had lost 39 women today. That was a sharp spike compared to recent days, and the Towerlings were getting more aggressive in the pace that they were taking to protect the territory they've carved out for themselves. The Rose Squadron still had around 2500 active fighters of course, but she knew that they needed more soldiers.

She also knew she wasn't going to get any. The rest of the soldiers the government had at it's disposal was busy protecting the general populace in the safe areas of the state, or across the country dealing with the other towers. No, she was just given command of a fairly small unit here, and there was no immediate intent to provide her with any additional troops.

And even with the support of the TRT, she wasn't making much progress. The recon mission was a disaster, and now the ****, _something she vehemently disagreed with, _is happening anyways, lest she be stripped of her command for disobeying an order.

Originally planned to be around 200 women, the failed recon mission had stepped up the numbers to the 700 area, over 1/4th of the Rose Squadron. They didn't have enough intel on the tower and it's creatures because the TRT's effectiveness had been marginal to this point. They mainly kept to themselves even, hiding intelligence until "it was deemed important." If she didn't have friends in high places, Pario would have been removed from this base long ago.

Back to thinking about the ****, the mission was supposed to have three field commanders. Kirie Kasamoto, Jocelyn Silver, and another was supposed to be the third, but Kirie volunteered for the Recon Mission, and the third resigned her post almost immediately after she learned that the monsters were mating with human females.

Now, her options were promoting someone new with experience in this field, asking for a transfer (which wouldn't go well with the soldiers) or...Lizette. God, Ella Myada could not fucking stand that bitch. She made a mockery of any concept of military ethics with her "Unit" and she had no reason why Lizette was even here or how she even obtained her rank, bringing Myada back to her issue with the "Friends in High Places" problem.

Myada even knew that Lizette had sexual relations with more then one her female subordinates, on the fucking base. By all means, the whore should be removed from the Squadron. Hell, she was off in the city doing god knows what at this very moment.

"We will investigate the matter." Was all she got from her superiors. And they didn't even file for a meeting, let alone any real investigation.

Ella realized that she had fallen into another of her bitchy rants about her subordinates, and went back to focusing on the task at hand.

She kept looking over the roster, when she saw one name. Oh...that was a good name. Someone with experience in the field, not hated by the rest of the unit, and...she had been considered for promotion in the past. It would be a bit of a jump, but this soldier had never let the army down before. Ella knew she could handle what she had in mind.

"Schedule a meeting with Eveline Union for tomorrow Sierra." Myada said.

And then there was that goddamn secretary. Why, the fuck, can't she just be a normal plain Jane. We don't need sexy bombshells strutting around the base. Sierra seemed more like the kind of person that would be walking down a runway with her daughter.

God Ella missed her daughters. At least they were safe.

"...We'll end this, on Monday."
