Music Class ☆

I went to the front with Quincy and Caleb, we were exciting for music class because apparently the three of us were huge fan of music and we had experience with instruments and stuff so it was clear that we had to choose this class - it was even better because it meant we were going to play music and have fun like friends. They went to sign up and then i did but i noticed that Daisy and Scarlet were behind me, they went to sign up for art class.

They smiled at me and signed up, i returned to my seat and i saw that most of the students went to sign up - after everyone signed up the teachers made a list with everyone and they said "Alright students, everyone has chosen a group so now we are going to separate the class in two..." the music teacher said and then the art teacher continued saying "I will name everyone in the list, if you want to change groups you will be able to do it after i read the list"

She then proceeded naming everyone in the class, there were not many people that caught my attention but i do recall some of the people in each group - in music class we were not that many people actually, of course it was me, Quincy, Caleb, some other guys like Connor, this virgin looking dude named Thomas and a bunch of other dudes, most of the guys were in music class but i noticed that some girls were here too, i was surprised when they named the shy looking girl named Ashley and Lucy - those two didn't look like they were big huge fans but maybe they were really talented.

The teacher named two other girls before she said the name of someone who i wasn't expecting to be here... May. I looked at her as the teacher said her name and she looked back at me, she smiled and i thought Wow, why is May here? Is she into music? That's so cool... i thought most of the girls went to art but apparently she is here... now i can talk to her even more.

In the other class there was the rest of the class, they were more than us but it wasn't a surprise - i recall the teacher naming Scarlet, Daisy, Ellie, the popular girls like Daphne, Cathy, Sarah and some guys too, there was Matthew which was unexpected and Justin was also there but probably because all of the girls went to art so he chose to join them to be able to talk to them.

Actually i would have done the same if i knew a little about art... well i was probably going to be useless in that class and besides, i am really good at music so i know i made the right choice... also if i wanted to hang out with a cute girl i already have May with me in this class so that should be fun... i said to myself before the art teacher called her class and they went to their classroom while we waited for the teacher to stop talking.

He said that we were going to do a lot in music class but i didn't pay him attention. The art class left and then the teacher ordered us to leave the room and wait outside - we did and as we waited for the teacher to come out of the classroom i talked with Quincy for a while.

When the teacher joined us in the hallway we made our way to the music class which was at the large building on the left side of the campus- it was on the first floor so we didn't have to go up the ramp. As we were walking to the classroom i whispered to Quincy "Hey why is May here... does she play any instrument or what?" He shrugged his shoulders and he left me wondering why May was in this class - i didn't want to think too much about it but i was curious.

We entered the classroom, it was pretty big but kinda boring - it was a huge normal looking room without windows and with some tables and seats scattered around the room, it was messy but it looked good for a music room, i mean we didn't need that much really, just a couple of seats, a whiteboard and a desk for the teacher was more than enough.

I placed my stuff on one of the seats in the middle but it didn't really matter. The teacher asked for 6 students to get instruments from a storage room nearby - Quincy, Caleb and i offered to go grab the instruments, some other students went there aswell while the rest of the class got ready and took their seats.

We ran to that storage room which was at the end of this large building, it was a long way there but we made it pretty quickly - Quincy opened it because he had the keys and as i entered i looked around to find dozens of instruments of all types. There was like a whole orchestra in there but we had to grab a few instruments from there - we had a hard time getting all of the drums for the battery but we managed to do it, Quincy and Caleb returned to the classroom with the drums and the other students grabbed flutes, other percussion instruments, xylophones and even a fucking trumpet.

I got a huge keyboard and i returned to the class after i locked the storage room since i was the last one to grab a instrument - it was heavy so i had to use my strenght to carry it all the way back to the classroom. When i got there i was greeted by some friends and the teacher said "Please come in quickly... you can place the keyboard here" he pointed to a corner where there was a electric oultet to plug the keyboard.

As i did some of my friends placed their seats next to me, it was nice because i was a bit lonely since i was far away from the center of the class - Quincy also sat next to me but because he had the battery a few feet away from my keyboard, he was going to play it which was impressive.

Caleb also took his seat next to me but because apparently he also was going to use the electrical outlet. The other friend that sat next to me was May, she didn't have an instrument and a reason to seat next to me like Caleb or Quicy so as she sat down i asked her

"May what are you doing here? I mean of course you are here to play music and all but... what instrument do you play? Why are you seating next to the loudest instruments in the class? I'm just wondering... is not like i dislike the idea of you being here or..." she interrupted me with her giggle and then said "Don't worry... i am just her to make you company... all of the girls went to art class so i am her alone" i was surprised that she wanted to make me company so i said "Oh, well you are welcome to be here... i guess, but still i'm sure that Quincy is going to be very loud so..."

She quickly said "Yeah i know... i'm probably not going to do much this class so for now i am going to seat with you guys" i smiled at her and she took her seat.

Hmmm... i wonder what she does... maybe she is just here to make me company... honestly i would never complain about that, being with May at all times sounds like a lot of fun i said to myself while i tested to see if the keyboard was working - it was really complicated because it had a lot of buttons and keys, it had a lot of functions and it could be used as a synthesizer aswell. It sounded really loud so i was sure that even with the battery and other instruments i was going to stand out.

Everyone got ready and stared at the teacher as he started the class, he wrote something on the whiteboard and then said "Alright students, first of all... we have a few rules in this class, currently we don't have the best noise isolation equipment so i will ask you to keep it at a normal volume... these instruments are school property so next class please bring your own instruments, if you damage the school ones you will have to pay for them so be careful when using them... also don't play when i'm talking, i've had many instances where students interrupt the class because they can't wait to play... i know you all want to play as soon as possible but please be pacient, we are always going to play at the end of the class"

After he said that we looked at a music introduction video which was pretty cool and then the teacher asked everyone what instrument they were going to play - he walked around and asked each student privately to then write in on a paper he had. I saw that a lot of people were using simple instruments like flutes or xylophones, some guitars too but the real instruments were at the back of the class, where i was - Quincy confirmed that he was going to play the battery and he even brought his drumsticks, Caleb was actually going to play the bass and i didn't hear what May was going to play but the teacher seemed pleased by what she said to him.

We spent most of the time waiting for the teacher to help all of the students with basic instruments - most if them didn't know how to play their instruments so i decided to play a bit on my keyboard to not get bored.

Quincy was prohibited to play because he was too loud but he was practicing with his fingers so it didn't sound that loud, he still got bored of it though so he got closer to watch me play. Caleb didn't even have his bass because it was under repair or something so he also came to see what i was doing - i was playing some normal stuff, trying some sounds and learning all of the things that i could do on this keyboard but then May got bored and came to watch how i played.

I wanted to play something cool to impress her but i didn't know what - i had a lof of experience with some instruments but i couldn't remember that many songs. She walked towards me and positioned herself at my right so i got nervous while she stood there, looking down at me and then asking "Come on, why don't you play something for us?"

I looked at her and i thought Fuck, what do i do... i don't know what to play... uhhh, ok let's see - the only thing that came to my mind was Twinkle Twinkle Little Star so i played that akwardly before May said with a sarcastic tone "Really? Are you trying to make us sleep or what? I was a bit embarassed but i saw that as an opportunity to strike back and start one of our playful fights.

"Of course i play that... i thought it was appropiate since you are acting like such a baby, asking me to play a song when you don't even say what instrument you are going to play... i don't even know if you actually play..." Quincy and Caleb tried not laugh so hard but i still heard some sounds from them.

May looked a bit offended by my comment but she continued with the playful game by saying "Well i can't tell you what i'm going to do in this class... yet... but i thought that you could have at least play a nice song for me" she looked at me while she pouted - i chuckled a bit and then replied to her in a joking tone "I will play a song for you when you tell me what instrument you are going to play" she shook her head and i continued saying "Fine, then no song for you"

She laughed and then i laughed because we had another one of our playful games that were quickly becoming one of my favorite things to do - we could basically say anything about eachither but we knew they were all jokes and games so they were funny and friendly interactions that i think was making us good friends.

I played a bit more but i was just practicing, the other students were getting quite loud and i thought about the other class that was literally right next door. We wete making a lot of noise and i could tell that it was annoying for the other class but i didn't care that much.

After a while the teacher stopped helping students and he went to the whiteboard and said "Alright guys, now that we are all used to our instruments, we are going to choose what we will play this year... i have some songs that i already chose but you could suggest other songs to play, specially later this year when we have events" he wrote in the board 2 songs that i didn't know and he said "Try to learn these songs at home... next class we will learn and practice the first one so remember to bring your own instruments... for now this class has finished so can someone return the instruments to the storage room please?"

And with that the same 6 people from before returned the instruments, the class finished and the other students were waiting outside so after i left the instruments i returned to the classroom to see what to do.
