Much better than he expected

When Spencer heard the doorbell ring, he raced to the door, having spent most of the morning ensuring his kitchen was as spotless as he could get it. There, he saw Jasmine holding multiple bags. Spencer took half of them from her and then led her inside. Jasmine looked around at Spencer's renovations. "Nice place Spence."

"Thanks."

"Real spacey."

"Yeah, I wanted it to have that kind of feel."

The two put their bags on the kitchen island. "So what's today's meal?"

"Chicken Fajitas."

"Sounds great. So before we get started, shall we talk money?"

"I guess."

Spencer pulled out his wallet and whipped out three-hundred dollars. "Well, that should cover today's lesson, plus whatever you had to buy."

"Jesus, Spencer... isn't that a bit much?"

"To make my daughter happy and help out a friend?"

"Well, sure... I guess. Just wasn't expecting that much that's all."

"Happy to surprise you."

Jasmine then gave Spencer a hug. "Thanks Spence."

"Not a problem."

"Maybe I should've been a lobbyist?"

The two shared a laugh, before Spencer asked "So how's Amber?"

"Pretty good. Just dealing with tax stuff for the new business."

"Does she need any help with that?"

"I think she's got it all under control, but I'll ask her anyway."

"Sure. Shall we unpack?"

"Sounds like a plan." Jasmine reached into one of the bags, pulling out a binder. "By the way, I copied out some recipes. You see anything you wanna do just send me a text and we should be able to do it."

"Perfect. Thanks Jazzy."

"Anytime. If I find more I'll help you out."

After unpacking the rest of the bags, the two got to cooking. With Jasmine looming over him, Spencer was slightly nervous that he might cut or burn himself, but half an hour later, he was platting up. After a first taste, he nodded. "Mhmm, this is great."

"Sure is. Well done Spence."

"Thanks."

"There's enough there for dinner too."

"Your the best Jazzy."

After finishing their meals, Jasmine looked to Spencer with a devious smile. "So Spence?"

"Yeah?"

"How about dessert?"
