(To the reader, THIS IS A STORY SLAVERY IS ALWAY WRONG!!!)

This is a short story that takes place about five years before the event of James or Stephsons's story.

Mr. Clemon has worked as a school consoler in a small rural school for the past seven years. However, both the female and male gym teachers retired five years ago, and the school does not have the budget to hire anyone new. As a result, he is also filling in that role.

As a teacher, he really wanted every student to grow to their maximum potential and find happiness. Unfortunately, he is teaching at a rural school, and most of his students are expected just to get married after school when they can accomplish so much more. He always hated watching those students all waste their potential.

There was one student that particularly caught his attention, and that student was Alice Middleton. She was the most talented student (both in academics and athletics) that he had ever seen. Her one downfall was that if she weren't one hundred percent sure about a choice, she wouldn't choose a choice because of the risk of selecting the wrong options. If she would just pick, she could likely go to any school she wanted.

The town he lived and worked in knew of the enslavement law. However, most are too busy with their daily tasks to really care about the law. That doesn't mean there aren't slaves; it's just that they are few and far between, and most don't have them because they're just another mouth to feed. So when Alice climbs out of the pool with her number exposed from the skin-colored cover sticker falling off in the water, no one thought anything about it. The students just pointed and laughed while Alice just calmly reached back down into the water and put the sticker back in place.

Mr. Clemon knew none of Alice's classmates would do anything with those numbers, even if they could actually remember them. However, those eleven numbers haunted Mr. Clemon for the rest of the workday. As an individual, he wasn't female anti-slavery or female pro-slavery. You could say he was somewhere in the middle. He is under the stance that slavery is a good thing if it benefits both people involved, so you could just say he is leaning toward anti-slavery because it's rare that it actually benefits the ****.

When he got home, he just sat down at his table, staring at Alice's eleven number that he had written on a sticky note. His mind raced with all the things she could do if she had just made up her mind. Then the thought hit him, 'What if I choose for her.' Before he even noticed it, he pulled out his phone and typed her numbers into the app, and submitted it. Just like that, it was done, and he silently and nervously stared at his phone, wondering what he had just done.

Thirty minutes later, Alice's father kicks in his front door, and Alice runs past him and slaps Mr. Clemon on the face. Mr. Middleton quickly caught up with his daughter just as Mr. Clemon recovered from the slap. Mr. Middleton is a very tall, strong, imposing man, and when he stood in front of you with an angry look on his face, it could strike fear into the bravest of men.

Mr. Middleton put his finger straight into Mr. Clemon's chest. "You little fucking shit bag. You should know I take fucking take bigger shits than you. Calling you a shit stain is an insult to all shit stains out there. Do you have any idea what you did?"

Mr. Clemon stuttered, "Yes."

Mr. Middleton "Really, you do. So what do you think you did? Before you answer that, let me remind you that she is my princess, my WHOLE FUCKING WORLD, and the only reason I have to live, so choose your words carefully because I would gladly go to jail for **** for her." Mr. Middleton cracks his knocks.

Mr. Clemon knew the threat was real, so he tried to think of any of the schools that Alice could actually get into, but in fear, he forgot all of them, so he just said where he was, "Yea ... I am getting her to go to our local teaching college." and he closed his eyes fully expecting to get a beating until the life leaves his body, but they beating never comes.

However, Mr. Middleton just stood in front of Mr. Clemons with his jaw practically on the floor in shock as he said, "Really, you think my daughter can go to college?"

Alice grumbles, "Daddy, it doesn't matter that he thinks I can go to college; we still can't afford it."

Mr. Clemon blurt out. "I can pay for her college."
