Morning Training Continues

"Hold! Boss? You ok? Time out everybody!"

Walt thought it was Steve and he heard a metallic *Clunk* and Tony saying, "Geez, Bruce! Way to pull your punches. You can't just wail on the Boss like that!"

His vision started to focus as a big, green body leaned into focus. "Thor started it hitting him hard with Mjolnir!"

They looked at Thor who held up empty hands and shook his head. He turned jerking his thumb and they all looked at Nora who quickly put Mjolnir behind her back. "Who me?" She sees no one's buying that. "Ok fine! It looked like fun and... and..." she pointed Mjolnir at Thor. "He started it suggesting we "switch" hammers and then insinuating I couldn't do it and then that I probably couldn't hit anything when I did!"

Thor laughed nervously while everyone shook their head at him. He pointed at Hulk. "You still shouldn't have hit him with a bus."

Hulk shrugged. "It was a small bus!"

Walt grunted popping bones and joints as he sat up. "Funny. Didn't feel that small..."

"Hahaha! He's fine!" Norman laughed hovering on his glider. Otto came into veiw slightly amused as well as relieved.

"Mister Stark? Boss?" Peter Parker asked holding up his hand with four fingers stretched out and his thumb tucked in. "How many fingers am I holding up?"

Walt blinked. "Eight but that's only because I'm seeing double for a second. It's passing. Give me just a minute be right as rain." He shook his head and popped his jaw.

"See," said Thor. "Norman is correct! Why the Boss could probably take on a jotun with one arm behind his back!"

Steve shook his head. "He's not speced for strength right now. Healing and recovery and damage resistance. But that doesn't mean he doesn't feel it." He gave Walt a hand getting up.

Tony smirked. "He's like the Terminator had a baby with the Energizer Bunny and it had a Timex for a heart." He looks around at the blank faces. "No? Nobody got that one?"

Peter put up his hand. "I did! I still wear a Timex! Takes a licking, keeps on ticking!"

Tony smiled. "Of course you do. Thanks Spidey!"

Walt nodded. "He never knew when he was whipped, so he never was.”

Steve snapped his fingers. "Louis L'Amour's To the Far Blue Blue Mountains! I know that one! Good book!"

Walt and Steve grin as Penny says, "I will add it to my list!"

"Okaaay... book lovers," muttered Tony. "Well you seem alright

"True and I don't have adamantium bones or skin so boy howdy that stings. Good lesson though. Let's do that same one again. Did-"

Penny and Sasha both nodded. "We're both fine!" Penny said.

"You got us clear of the danger area," Sasha said. "And we reached the safe zone just as you got that double hit. So mission complete but-"

Walt nodded. "Not a "good" grade. Definitely do that one again and uhh... Nora try to hit me again too and Thor and Banner you both did just fine. I can take it. Just remember that noone else is to get hurt. If I had still been carrying the others that would have been bad. Let's switch out for Ilulu since that one's a bit dangerous. She don'tlook it but she can shrug of tons of damage. Thanks for waiting for them to get clear. Pete, Tony, Steve. What did I do wrong?"

Tony's mouth twitched. "Minor stuff. Technical mostly. Here's the analysis footage but..."

Steve nodded. "You didn't really do anything "wrong". It just happens sometimes. You're going to get hit. Sometimes it's like that. Sometimes just like that."

Peter nodded. "You did great. Kept your targets safe but-"

Walt frowned. "Go on. Say it. If Nora and Banner hadn't waited... if it had been "real"?"

They all nodded as Peter said it. "They'd have been dead."

Walt nodded. "Good that's what I needed to hear. We definitely need to run that one again. How do I do it better? How would you have done it?"

Peter sighed. "That's the hardest part. It's always the little details that haunt you afterwards. And you're right since your gut instincts work differently from my sense it's not the same." They called up thr footage from Fridays recording. "But you've got advantages I don't. See this point when you came in for the swing? Your forms good. You supported and shielded the targets properly. Now if I was you I'd swing lower. Maybe turn those obstacles to an advantage. Doc?"

Otto adjusted his specs. "Agreed. It's very technical to pull off but it should be possible. For instance if you were lower and closer to this debris and fast and agile enough you could then..."

"Hey," Nora asked some of the others. "Just how much punishment you think he can take?"
