Morning Training Continues Pt 2

"Ok, you guys. Enough!"

"Awwww..." said Nora, Thor, Hulk and surprisingly even Clark.

Penny glared at them and they all shrank back but-

"It's... ok...," Walt stood up on shaky legs but patted Penny's shoulder. "I can do this all day..." he assumed a fighting stance.

Penny kissed his cheek and walked away shaking her head to go train with Master Kenobi while Steve said, "Hey! That's my-"

Tony snapped his fingers. "Focus. What do you think?" He indicated the shields. "Compositionaly they're the same so it should be-"

"That one," Steve said pointing.

Tony and the others looked at him. "You're sure? No doubts at all? If you need a moment-"

Steve kept pointing. "No doubts. It's that one."

Everybody checks and "money" changes hands. But only a little now. Mostly just Tony paying everyone else. They'd been at this awhile.

Tony squints peering at Steve. "Did you pick up psychic powers? Got a secret "Cap sense" you never told anyone about?"

"Give it a rest, Tony," Peter said. "He's gotten it right 10 times now!"

Otto nodded. "It's a well documented but unexplained phenomena that some characters can sense characters they're close to that are from the same instance. They can just feel it if there's a close connection."

"Right!" Said Tony. "That's the point! Between characters. A shield is not a character it's equipment! So it can't work like that."

"What about Thor and Mjolnir?" Steve said. "When he raises his hand a hail of hammers and axes and things don't go flying his way?"

"That's magic and magic doesn't count... unless," he stared into Steve's eyes. "Is that what you're telling me? You a wizard now? Are you Magician America now or is it Sorcerer America?"

Steve rolled his eyes. "You know I'm not. I can just tell, Tony. That's all."

Tony nodded looking he was finally giving up... then looked up. "One more time! Double or nothing!"

Steve chuckled. "Sure, Tony. Sure."

Walt looked up. "Really? Like that?"

Peter shook his head clapping. "No. That was even better than I could do. Better than any "Spider-Man" could catch." He smiled proudly. He'd been doing his research into the successful and unsuccessful "Gwen Stacy"like falls. "That's how it should be done if and when you find yourself in that situation, if you're able."

Walt climbed back up to where he and Norman were. "I... thank you... both of you. For showing me the proper ways how. I know this was a big ask. If there's anything I can do to repay you?"

Norman shook his head. "You don't get it."

Peter smiled. "This is us repaying you. You used the portals to save our Gwen. My Gwen. Brought her here. To me."

Norman nodded. "You've done so much for everyone at 3S. Undone mistakes. Reunited people with their lost loved ones. Helped support and reestablish their dreams from the ash heap. Realisticly you can't save everyone. But you helped everyone of us. We needed to repay you."

Peter nodded. "And we need to repay that by helping you prepare yourself for those kinds of situations. So thank you. Thank you for letting us repay our debts." He had tears in his eyes.

"Just do your best," Norman said.

Walt nodded and handed Peter his bandanna. "It was my pleasure. Truly. I promise. I'll do my very best."
