"So why did you look for me?" I ask her and she smiles.

"Because I need you. I may be powerful but I'm only one person. I knew I'd need someone else who I could trust and since you are half Mythos, we could message each other." Ayasha says.

"How does that work? Like, is it a spell or some kind of skill that only Mythos can learn?"

"It has to do with the source of magic. How to explain this... Okay so this is going to take a while, is that okay?" She asks and I nod. "So our ancestors discovered the source of all magic. We call it the Primal Source. It's a large tree with a small lake beneath its roots. When they first found it our ancestors thought it was a normal tree. This happened over a thousand years ago. So they went and drank the water, resting from their travels. When they did the water changed them. They passed out and when they came to they each had purple hair and glowing eyes. Oh, they were a man and a woman, by the way. They were lovers and had set out to explore new lands. Anyway, they were, as you'd expect, freaked out. They tried to figure out what was going on. Eventually, they discovered the tree had given them powers. The man figured out how to control the earth around him, and would later name it the Earth School. The woman figured out how to destroy objects at a glance, later naming it the School of Destruction. They wanted to share their powers with others and invited their close friend. He was a man who had helped them gather what they needed for the journey. The man came and they told him what happened, showing him their powers. The man asked to drink from the tree and they agreed to show him. But when he woke up after drinking the water he didn't have the purple hair and eyes. That and he couldn't use both schools our ancestors had made, they had already taught one another what they had made. The man was furious, thinking they had done something to purposefully make him weaker than them. He attacked and wounded the other man before the woman killed him. She managed to patch him up since he wasn't human and much tougher to kill, though they didn't know that yet. After thinking it over they came up with a plan. They decided to act as guardians to the tree, making sure those who would do it harm wouldn't discover it. But what they didn't know is that the tree has a will of its own. And by drinking the water they woke it up. It started to explore what it was and discovered the two Mythos it had already created. After a few years, it managed to learn how to communicate with them. I can't say how since I haven't heard it, but they started talking. The tree then decided to start creating more like them. More people who could use magic. But it agreed with them, that announcing itself to the world was too dangerous. So it learned how to interact with souls. It managed to turn unborn humans into Lyna. The Lyna however, are much weaker than they would've been if they drank from the water. In fact, so are you. Once you drink the water your Mythos side will fully awaken. All Mythos do this, we made it a whole ceremony back when our tribe thrived. Anyway, the tree created Lyna, and we Mythos guard it. All Mythos have a connection to it as well. That's how we can communicate without magic. We connect to the tree, almost like we're one of its roots. Then we find the root of the one we want to communicate with and send the message down it. Yours is hard to do so, however. Probably because you're only half, but your root is hot to the touch. I get a burning sensation whenever I even try to message you. But even then I can barely manipulate the way the mana aids you."

"Wait, aids me? What do you mean?"

"Right, sorry. Mana is everywhere, you know this right? How the air, earth, and even plants all carry mana. Well, the connection we have to the Primal Source changes the mana around us. As the name implies, the Primal Source is where all mana comes from. So the mana around us recognizes the connection and does whatever it can to help us. This is how your Quests, Achievements and all that stuff works. The mana recognized your connection as soon as your mana seal was undone. It then decided that this would be the best way to help you. Mine is similar in the sense that I can see the power levels of anyone or anything I look at. Instead of levels, it sums up how good they are in a fight."

"So... Anything else to add?" I ask and she smiles sadly.

"One more thing. Well, two, firstly I know how much this is confusing you and I do apologize. But I need to ask. Eric, will you help me unite the Lyna and Human worlds?" She asks before immediately continuing. "You don't need to answer now. The second thing I wanted to ask is if you are free anytime tomorrow. As I said, I'd like you to drink the water from the tree but I need some time to prepare. Since I'm the only Mythos who can guard it, I had to set up other defenses for the time I was away looking for you. I set up golems and traps, so I'll need to deactivate them. I didn't plan on that, I was too excited at the thought of meeting you when I made them so it'll take a bit of time. So I'd like to take you to it and let you decide after seeing the Primal Source with your own eyes. Then you can answer me." She says and I take a deep breath.

"Okay, I don't have any plans for tomorrow so what time do you want?"

"How about noon?" She asks and I nod. "Good, then here." She hands me another piece of paper with a magic circle. "It's like the one you used to bring me here, but it'll bring you to me. This Crystal will let you know when I'm ready." She says handing me a small red crystal and I take them both. "Okay, thanks for trusting me enough to talk and listen. I'm really looking forward to having you around." She says before vanishing into thin air. I sigh and open my character sheet, wanting to do something before meeting the Devil later. Although thinking about it, I facepalm for not doing it before meeting Ayashi. Not that it would've helped much.
