Mom

Shepard looked in surprise as the door opened revealing her mom standing there in her uniform. "Mom? What...what are you doing here?"

Hannah Shepard crossed her arms. "What? Can a mom not simply visit her daughter who has been away fighting aliens and saving the galaxy for several years?"

Commander Shepard blushed and wrapped her arms around her mom. "I just...I just wasn't expecting you, I guess. I haven't seen you since... well...since I died the first time."

Hannah Shepard embraced Jane tightly and nodded. "I remember the day when Captain Anderson came knocking on my office door. And he told me...he told me that my daughter died. It was so devastating. And then I learned that you weren't dead and were out there saving the universe, and I couldn't be more proud."

Shepard smiled. "Uh, I better get dressed before we do anything and then maybe we can go out somewhere or something. How does that sound?"
