Memories

When Janice and Donovan left, Dani took in a deep breath, before turning to Spencer and flashing a smile.

"Well, that's that taken care of." Spencer said.

"Yeah." She muttered.

Picking up on her dejected tone, Spencer asked "You okay?"

"Yeah, it's just... kinda odd." Dani flashed another smile. "I remember being like Janice."

Spencer hugged Dani as he tried to stammer his way to a sentence.

"Sorry Spence." She sobbed.

Spencer patted her back before kissing her forehead. "Don't be sorry Dani. It must've been a horrible thing to go through."

"Yeah..." Dani sniffled as she wiped away a tear.

"C'mon, let's sit down."

The two take a seat on the couch, where Dani sighed. Spencer wrapped his arm around her, trying to think of what to say next. Before he can muster any words, Dani stated "You know at the time I didn't know what was going to give out first. My throat from the shouting or my wrist from the slapping."

Spencer let out a nervous chuckle.

"Plus, I wouldn't be here with you, either."

"No would I. Suppose I should thank him then."

To his relief, Dani gave his joke a chuckle. When she caught her breath, she said "You know I almost said no to you back when you asked me out?"

"What?"

"Yeah... For the longest time, I didn't think I was ready to move on, but you just looked so..."

"Like a goose?"

Dani imploded with laughter, crying "Nooooo."

"Then what?"

When she calmed down, Dani finally gave Spencer her answer. "I mean, you just looked so sincere... And I know what it meant to you to ask that..."

"Tell you the truth it was pretty spur of the moment."

"Heh. That was kinda obvious."

Spencer shrugged. "Still, I can't argue with the result."

"Nor can I."

The two locked lips once more, their tongues tussling around each other. When their lips part, Spencer asked "Do you wanna go somewhere else? Seems like you've got some bad memories here."

"I'm fine. I've got plenty of good memories too."

"Like?"

Dani's smile grew as she put her hand on his thigh. "Like our first night."

"And when I searched for your lingerie."

Her hand glided up his leg. "And last night."

"Plus this morning."

That's when Dani finally squeezed on Spencer's crotch. "How about we make some more memories?"
