Psych Profile:
Melina Olive, or as the soldiers around the base call her "Lina", actively detests her real name, and insists on being called by the nickname she created for herself. I believe the reason for this is "Melina" wasn't strong enough to save her friends and family the day the Tower rose, and as a result she lost everyone she knew to the tower in one way or another. But unlike Eveline who's trying to rescue her sister, Melina believes that those that she lost are gone, and she considers them dead in her mind, even if she may now realize that those she lost ended up as broodmothers.

Despite her own efforts to gain strength in order to fight back against the Tower, "Lina" simply hasn't had enough time since the Ascent to actually had the time to properly gain the strength she wants, and she's fooled herself into thinking she's ready for taking on the tower. Instead, she's actually near the bottom of the barrel in terms of soldier strength and willpower, and it's honestly surprising that she doesn't get fucked walking out the door of the compound.

Pretty, but ultimately lacking in any usefulness or real drive, and as such is a less then stellar candidate for "Creation."
