Meeting with Hippolyta

"I appreciate you taking the time to meet with me," Ororo said to the Queen.

"Your reputation precedes you, Headmistress Munroe. You are a shining example of mutantkind... and of womanhood. It is truly a pleasure to have you on Themyscira," Hippolyta replied, clearly enamored with the X-Woman.

Ororo bowed her head, politely accepting the praise. ""The pleasure is all mine, your grace. I have always admired the Amazons and their culture," she smiled. "I am looking forward to seeing more of it, once our business is concluded."

"Indeed. I trust that Diana will serve as an exemplary hostess," Hippolyta agreed. "And now, to the matter at hand. We have discovered that Aurora here has what you call the 'X-Gene'; the first Amazon to posess the gene, she has the mutant ability to see into the lives of her counterparts in the Multiverse. Although she has excelled in her training her on Themyscira, we are ill-equipped to teach her to control her abilities. There has been much debate about sending her away to train with you, but after consulting with my advisers, we have reached the conclusion that your school is the best place for her to hone her skills and learn how to properly utilize them."

"We are honored that you would consider letting Aurora study at the Xavier Academy, your grace," Ororo said with a warm smile, before turning to Aurora. "Rest assured, young Aurora, you will be welcomed with open arms by your fellow students and the staff, and will be treated with the utmost respect and kindness."

Aurora bowed her head, clearly humbled by the gesture. "Th-Thank you, Headmistress Munroe..." she said shyly.

"You're most welcome, Aurora," Ororo smiled warmly at the young woman. Aurora was a striking woman, with hazel eyes and fiery red hair that cascaded down her back. Her physique was toned and athletic, honed from years of rigorous Amazonian training. She was dressed in a simple tunic and boots, and while her outfit designed for ease of movement and functionality, not form, her beauty was still clear for all to see.

Hipplolyta continued, "Of course, while we believe that your school is the ideal location for Aurora to develop her mutant abilities, we ultimately must leave the decision up to her. So before any decisions are made, on behalf of the Amazons, we must request that you spend some time with her during your stay."

"Certainly," Ororo agreed before turning her attention to Aurora. "I look forward to getting to know you and telling you about the Academy. If you have any questions about us, please don't hesitate to ask."

"I'm looking forward to learning all I can about your school, Headmistress," Aurora said, giving Ororo a timid smile. The idea of leaving Themiscyra was a daunting one to the young Amazon woman, but there was a kindness to Ororo's demeanor that put her at ease.

"Please, Aurora, call me Ororo," the headmistress insisted. "If you'd like, we can speak once this meeting is adjourned, and I can answer any immediate questions you have.

"Of course, I would like that. Very much," Aurora replied, feeling a blush rising in her cheeks.

"Excellent," Ororo smiled before turning back to Hippolyta. While Ororo's warm manner put the shy Amazon at ease, she did feel a flutter in her chest; she came across as so confident, so beautiful, so kind. Aurora was instantly drawn to the Headmistress of the Xavier Academy, her sudden crush making her even more nervous. "Shall we continue, your grace?"

"Yes, of course," Hippolyta nodded as she and Ororo further discussed the details of the arrangement. Ororo would spend the week on Themyscira, spending a portion of each day getting to know Aurora and selling her on the benefits of attending the Xavier Academy. By the end of her stay, Ororo and the Amazons hoped to convince the young woman to enroll.

"Thank you for granting me this audience, Queen Hippolyta. I hope that this meeting is only the beginning of a stronger relationship between mutants and Amazons," Ororo said, bowing graciously.

"As do I," Hippolyta agreed. "And I hope your visit to Themyscira is a most enjoyable one."

"I'm sure it will be, especially with Diana acting as my hostess," Ororo replied, grinning coyly at Diana.

After the meeting ended, Ororo spent a couple of hours talking with Aurora, telling her whatever she wanted to know about the academy. Aurora listened intently, feeling increasingly comfortable with the beautiful headmistress; Ororo sensed that the initially hesitant Amazon had taken to her quickly, which was certainly an encouraging sign. Meanwhile, Aurora found herself more and more intrigued by the Xavier Academy; she'd never ventured out into the world of man before, but Ororo had her believing that she could use her abilities for the good of not just the Amazons, but mutantkind and even humanity as a whole -- not to mention, the prospect of spending more time in close proximity with the school Headmistress made the idea of attending that much more appealing.

At the end of the conversation, the pair made plans to speak further the next day, and Aurora bid Ororo goodbye. Soon after she left the room, Diana entered, a pleased expression on her face. "I just had a brief conversation with Aurora. She seems quite taken with you," she mentioned to her guest. "I think you may have already convinced her to enroll."

Ororo smiled modestly. "She seems like a very bright young woman. With a gift like hers, the sky's the limit for what she could achieve. We can help her realize her full potential," she said.

"With a mentor like yourself, I have no doubt Aurora will thrive, my friend," Diana said sincerely, a kind smile on her lips. "Now, let me show you to your accommodations for the duration of your visit..." she said as she lead the way to the guest quarters. Once there, Diana excused herself, allowing Ororo some free time to settle in before meeting up for dinner later that evening.
