Meanwhile, out in the rain

Kurt couldn't believe his bad luck, as this whole day was going from simply fucked-up to something even worse.

He wasn't even sure what the heck was wrong with his car, as he'd been too busy chasing girls in driving school to listen to all the technical details and problems that could arise, but it sure wasn't a good thing when something snapped and he could just barely steer off the road before the engine died. Now he couldn't start it again, and of course his phone decided to break when he dropped it on his way back into the car again - meaning that he couldn't even call for his dad or a salvor to help him.

Things wasn't looking any better with the fact he was in the middle of nowhere, with about thirty minutes ride in either direction and whole lot more if he attempted to walk. Which wasn't really an option of course, as it was still raining cats and dogs outside - with only the occasional flash of lightning to illuminate the dark skies around him -, and so far there hadn't been a single car passing by on this lonesome road.

"Dammit!" Was all he could say about the whole thing, and he couldn't stop seething over the idea that all of this was his stupid cousin Heather's fault. Even as he knew she couldn't possibly be involved in his car breaking down, he couldn't shake the feeling that she was sitting in that warm and cozy cabin right now and laughing at his own misfortune.

For all it looked like, he'd simply have to stay in the car until morning, or at least until it stopped raining - which the radio had told him could well be sometime late at night. Well, at least the electricity was still working in the car - which meant he had some light and a radio to listen to -, until he found out how quickly a poor car battery could be discharged while the car wasn't moving...

Now, it was starting to look like he had a truly long night ahead of him...
