Meanwhile, Chloe and Vicky are trying to get along

"Are you sure it's okay...?" Asked Chloe, as she and Vicky were inspecting the room and their large double bed together. "I could always sleep on the floor, you know!"

"No, it's fine!" The blonde smiled back at her and turned down her offer. "It's easily big enough for both of us! And it's better than sharing a room with one of the guys, right?"

"Yeah, sure..." Chloe agreed, even as a part of her was having some serious doubts to the last part at the moment.

"Damn that Heather!" She thought to herself as she wondered how they'd all ended up like this, with the sexy brunette stealing away with Zack, while Chloe herself had to share a room with her best friend's crush. "And damn that Bishop as well...!"

"Well, not all guys are assholes of course..." Victoria continued chatting while they started unpacking their things, almost as if she'd been able to read the redhead's mind, and caused her to return to the present again with the slight inquiry to her chirping voice. "I guess you and Zachary must get along pretty well, huh...?"

"Well, yeah...?" Chloe looked up at the other girl in confusion, as she tried to figure what the blonde was actually getting at. Then it suddenly hit her, when she noticed that suggestive little smile on the other girl's lips, and she found herself staring back at her for a moment before stuttering some kind of answer. "No, we're not like that...! We're just friends you know!"

"Really?" The girl actually winked at her with a sly look on her face, and caused a slight blush on the redhead's cheeks as she was caught completely off guard by the sudden questioning. "I always thought you'd make a great couple...!"

"Well..." Chloe tried desperately to find a correct answer to sate the other girl's curiosity, and realized that there was no real good one to be found. Of course she liked Zack - even more than just as a best friend -, though she'd long since given up the idea of them ever becoming a couple, with one of the main reasons standing right in front of her in this very moment.

"He's kinda... busy, actually..." She finished lamely, and knew at an instance that it was the wrong answer as she could see the blonde raising an even more curios eyebrow at her.

"Really...?" Victoria seemed seriously surprised at this revelation, which caused the redhead to almost throw the truth right into her face, as she couldn't possibly believe how someone could be so oblivious to a guy's feelings for her. Instead she just clenched her teeth and continued unpacking her bags though, and was thankful that her new roommate decided to drop the subject for now at least.

They were almost finished stowing their things into the wardrobe, when a sudden knock on the door interrupted them, and Ashley peeked her head inside before they'd even had a chance to answer it.

"Hey, aren't you done yet?" The newcomer smiled at them brightly, while taking just a quick look around the room. "You better hurry and get changed! Me and Brandon are already on our way to try out the water!"

"Yeah, sure!" Vicky was quick to reply, while her friend disappeared as quickly as she'd arrived, and immediately started searching her last bag for some kind of swimsuit.

"Hey, aren't you coming?" She asked Chloe then, when she noticed that the redhead had yet to say anything, and she even looked a bit worried for her. "You did remember to pack your swimsuits, right...?"

"Well, yeah..." The other girl admitted, though she claimed that she'd rather stay out of the water today.

"Oh, come on! It'll be fun!" The blonde insisted, but started to understand the problem as she realized that she'd barely ever seen her friend in anything more revealing than her current pair of shorts and short-sleeved jersey. Which was quite a shame really, as she seemed to have a nice figure, and certainly wouldn't have any reason to avoid showing it off to her friends.

"You'll look good!" She continued coaxing, as she found a rather modest looking swimsuit at the top of one of her friend's bags, and eventually managed to make Chloe give in to the sweet-talking.

"If only Zack would've been this persistent..." She found herself thinking, when finally taking her own garment out of Vicky's hands, and realized that her good old friend was in many ways the root to a lot of her problems. It was him that told her once that she looked chubby in a swimsuit, when all she'd wanted was to show herself off to him, and a short time later he'd had one of his first real crushes on one of the skinnier girls in their class.

Since then she'd lost her so-called baby fat and joined the soccer team shape herself up, but still she couldn't seem to catch the guy's attention, and eventually she came to blame her failures on her steadily growing chest and hips. No matter how hard she practiced she just wouldn't seem to get rid of those soft-looking curves...

"What...?" She asked, with a little more indignation to her voice than she'd meant to, as she realized that Vicky was watching her curiously while she finished changing her clothes.

"Oh, it's nothing!" The blonde told her, though her big and emerald green eyes were still wide open in astonishment. "It's just that... You really do look great, you know!"

"Uh, thanks..." Chloe managed a surprised reply, when she was just about to give up this entire idea about heading to the lake again. "You... look really good as well..."

And Victoria's slender figure really did look fantastic in her silky little green bikini, while Chloe herself felt mostly clumsy in her own old-fashioned dark blue swimsuit, which covered her entire front and most of her back - but still there was no doubt that the other girl was absolutely honest with her compliments, and not just trying to cheer her up with empty words.

"No, I really mean it!" The girl continued praising her without pause, while she could probably tell of her roommate's skepticism, and even laughed a bit as she looked her over once again. "Seriously, Chloe! You'd beat even Heather with a body like that!"

"Come on now!" She smiled at her finally, and practically dragged the baffled redhead with her out of the cabin and towards the water. "You'll just need to work some on your tan...!"
