Does Loraine take her up on her offer?

"Sorry," Lorraine lamented, deciding it was time to finally head home. "Maybe later. Right now, i need to get going. My parents are probably wondering where I am."

The girl frowned, disappointed at the rejection. "Oh," she exhaled, looking a bit downtrodden. "It's okay, I understand." She reached towards her bag and pulled out a pen and book. "Can I get your phone number so we can keep in contact?"

The question made Lorraine sting inside. '*If only*', she thought. "I... I can't answer that," she responded. "But I'll give you an address you can meet me at." She then proceeded to give the location of the homeless shelter she and her family were situated at.

"Okay. Thanks!" The girl exclaimed, happy at the introduction of a new friend. She proceeded to reach her hand out for a handshake. "I'm Penny."

Lorraine smirked, and then shook Penny's hand. "Lorraine."

With that, the two went their seperate ways. Penny back towards the town, and Lorraine towards the homeless shelter. It was then that Lorraine realized that Penny didn't once acknowledge Lorraine's total nudity, whicb brought her some semblance of comfort.
