The walk home

Lorraine begins the walk home from the mall. She was thinking about penny, the only person who showed any kind of empathy for her. She hoped she could see her again, maybe even hang out.

Lorraine went to take a shower in the crappy one at the shelter. The water was cold and dirty, there were no towels, and the entire thing smelled awful, but other than the school this was the only place she could get somewhat clean.
