Combat (Contested Quickness)
Malene: 15. Invisible Stalker: 22.
Already constricting her, the elemental creature begins to squeeze. Malene can barely breath as it attempts to knock her out. [19 to hit. Malene’s defense: (natural 20) 25.] The elf breathes in deep and struggles to keep her wits about her, but she is successful. She breaks free of the creature and stumbles forward.

Terrified, Malene runs off into the woods blindly. [-1 stamina for both. Malene quickness: 19. Invisible stalker quickness: 8.]
Malene runs and runs. When she feels like she’s escaped, she pauses. Breathing heavily, she waits to feel the wind constrict her again. When it doesn’t she breathes a sigh of relief. She seems to have escaped its clutches. Looking back up at the sky, she checks to see how far off she’s gotten.
