Chapter 2
by RicoLouis
Who Are You?
Male - Jock / The Paladin
I frowned at my reflection really needing a shave. It wasn't bad but it had that sand paper feel to it. It wasn't like I was kissing anyone so no one would complain. I had never actually let it grow out prefer to my face neatly groomed and my hair trimmed short since I played sports but it was the off season. In both sports and relationships so I had just said fuck it for a few days. Nothing else I would get bored later and shave it off. The weather forecast said it was going to rain for the whole weekend so it was't like I couldn't find the time later.
I headed down stairs to raid the kitchen. Nothing else make sure my future step sister Paige hadn't burned the house down. Our parents had started dating some time when I was at college and things had gotten serious enough for her and her folks to move in but not for them to get married yet. I went down stairs to find the red head Paige sitting at the end of the table behind some kind of divider with three of her friends. Paige was small and petite but still nice looking though more cute then sexy. She probably be carded into her thirties after she was old enough to drink. She was the most down to earth person I knew and probably one of the few people I let my guard down around.
“Hey Chris,” Paige smiled.
“Hey Chris.” They all said in unison and giggled.
“Hey. Ladies.” I smiled and did a little wave. I was well aware they all thought I was handsome but until now had all been under age. If not for Paige we wouldn't even be friends. They had been Freshmen when I was a senior so I had maybe noticed them around school but never paid them much attention and didn't know any of their names.
“Hungry? We ordered pizza.” Paige pointed. I loved her sometimes like now. Paige was sweet, and sweet on me, but a total geek. I treated her like the little sister I never had and would pick at her some times just playing around and she would pick right back. If anything we already acted like siblings.
“Sure.” What the hell. It beat anything I would find in the kitchen to make and it was nice of her to offer.
“Sorry to hear about your girlfriend Chris.” Miranda smiled. Miranda was your typical nerd. She was a cute nerd but still a nerd. She was curvaceous with ginger red hair. Green eyes behind a pair of glasses. The first thing I always noticed was her tits. She was what I would call pleasantly plump so she was shy about her body but she was far from bad looking. She didn't show it off much but she had a nice thick little body. Tits you would want to bury your face in and an ass you just wanted to smack. She might have been the type I would have picked on in high school but I had gotten to know her and though she didn't have much in the way of relationship advice she always seemed willing to listen even if it sometimes felt like an interrogation.
“It's fine.” I shook my head and grabbed a paper plate and went to grab a slice of pizza.
“Mimic trap.” Anastasia, or Anna for short quickly closed the box as I was reaching for a slice making me smile. Anna was the girl who took very little seriously and had blossomed into a cute young woman. Now that she had the braces off. She was tall and slender. Small but pert breast and a small tight ass that I had seen on more then one occasion. Me and Betty probably got along the best of Paige's friends as she was the most fun to hang out with. The one time they had **** me to the fair she **** me on every ride
“What?” I gave Anna a look.
“It's from the game.” Anna smiled.
“You should come play with us. We could use some eye candy Chris.” Samantha teased and the girls laughed. Sam was a bit of a flirt. Just not a very good one. She did have a wicked sense of humor that I liked and a fondness for horror movies. She was short with long black hair. Add some pigtails and she would be Wednesday Addams. Other then a few piercings in her ears that as far as she got to being a goth girl.
“Ooh. That could be fun. Come play with us Chris.” Anna took my arm.
“I don't know how to play.” I shook my head. I was even worst at making shit up as my creative writing teacher could tell you.
“We can teach you. It's not that hard and we could use a fighter on our party so they are super easy to play. You just have to hit shit.” Sam smiled.
“Please. Unless you want us to keep coming to check up on you.” Miranda gave me a look. She had gone out of her way to try and get me to talk about my problems.
“Give it a try and if you don't like it we can kill you off in some grand blaze of glory. It has to beat sitting in your room and sulking the rest of the night.” Paige shrugged and gave a playful pout. Her way of saying I had nothing better to do which was true. All four of the girls looked at me with eager expressions.
“Fine.” I rolled my eyes. I couldn't say no. Nothing else if I played really badly they might let me go back to my room after a few minutes.
“Okay. Let me make you up a character.” Paige pulled out a sheet.
“You are a level one aspiring paladin...” She began to fill in the paper.
“That is like a knight right?” I asked. I think I recognized it from a movie or some old video game from when I was younger before I got into sports.
“Yes. You want to be holy crusader but were born into humble beginnings as the third son of a black smith so you have some sword training and your mother was the town healer and taught you some healing magic and instilled many of the values that set you on your guest. You grew up in a small village so have limited knowledge of the outside world and you left home when you came of age.” Paige said. All of this sounded strangely familiar. My dad was a wielder and mom before she passed was a nurse. Maybe not the small town part though but I had left home when I came of age. I guess it was her way of making the character someone I could relate with. “You have been drawn to the town on the border of the kingdom by stories of the dragon queen and her army just as the ladies.”
“Drag queen.” Sam joked.
“Will you stop calling her that please?” Paige threw her a look.
“Nope.” Sam smiled and took a bite of her Pizza.
“As you enter the city you seek shelter from a storm in a small tavern near the main gate shaking off the rain as you enter. You sit and order a hot meal which you scarf down as you have been on the road a time. As you eat you hear three women at the next table talking about the queen of dragons and her army of goblins and orcs in the dark forest. What do you want to do?”
“I guess go over an introduce myself.” I shrugged and took a bit out of the pizza.
“You get up and introduce yourself as {Perseus} the Paladin and tell them you are also out for the bounty on the dragon queens head.”
“I get up to shake his hand. Hi. I am Artemis the elvin Archer.” Anna smiled and extended her hand.
“Roll?” Paige said.
“For a handshake?” Anna gave Paige a look stopping in her tracks.
“We have to show Chris how it is done plus how many drinks have you had?” Paige smiled.
“Fine.” Anna grabbed the dice and rolled. The dice landing on a one.
“Wow. Only you could fuck up a handshake.” Sam laughed.
“Is a one bad?” I looked around
“It means critical fail. If we were in a fight she would have to do a saving roll or she be dead.” Miranda shook her head.
“Luckily it's just a handshake.” Paige smiled and rolled a dice of her own and bit her lip. “She reaches out and accidentally grabs your crotch by mistake and begins to shake it.”
“Oh god.” Anna blushed and the girls cracked up.
“Really? It's like that?” I smiled at Paige and shook my head. I knew she may look cute and innocent but she was anything but innocent.
“Yep. I figure if we can spice things up a little since we have a guy in the party.” Paige smiled.
“I am in. I keep shaking while I try to size up our newest party member.” Anna blushed as she looked at me and bit her lip glancing down teasingly.
“I remove her hand and say appreciate the offer but tell her I have taken a vow of chastity as part of my journey to become a holy paladin.” I shook my head.
“Oh really.” Sam strummed her fingers together across from me as if plotting something evil.
“I introduce myself. And I haven't been drinking.” Miranda gave Paige a look. “Good day kind sir. I am Lady Minerva a humble mage.” Miranda said as she stood up and offered her hand like a proper lady. Her large tits hanging beneath her in her shirt were very noticeable. I am guessing she was playing some kind of nobility or something.
“My Lady.” I played along and took her hand giving it a kiss.
“Ooh.” The girls all teased.
“And Selene the shadow thief.” Selene just gave a little salute as she looked away and picked at her nails getting into character as well.
“I sit down with the ladies.” I smiled.
“And so our story begins.” Paige smiled and clapped her hands together.
As with all Chyoa stories. If you like this story and would like tho see more in the future hit that like button. This story will focus mostly on the fantasy world in which the players characters inhabit with the occasional flashback to the table with the players.
