Make peace with the Arch Duke

You calmly clap your hands and think, "Well, my future stepfather might be a valuable ally in the future, considering our current stance with our Nobels. Thus, it is wise of us to repair our mutual trust."

Sir Dietrich cocks his head as he takes a second to understand what exactly what you said before sticking his hand out of the window and waving. On cue, a rider rides up to the window. "Sire, what do you need?"

Sir Dietrich, "Please ride ahead and inform the Archduke that his future king has urgent matters to discuss the moment we arrive."

The ride makes a signal of respect while saying, "As you desire." Before galloping off ahead.

The following day, The Archduke personally greets you as you enter his city. However, his greeting wasn't pleasant. "Now, what matter is so urgent that me greeting my future king cannot wait until after tomorrow's ceremony?"

Sir Dietrich smiled even through the Archduke's aggressive tone as he said, "Our king would like to recompense with you."

The Archduke says "How convenient that YOUR KING wants to make peace with me now after he permanently wrecked something that I should cherish. But I am a reasonable man; I am willing to accept his offer of peace, but it's going to cost him."

Sir Dietrich glances at you, and you wave him forward, allowing him to say, "Name your terms."

The Archdukes laugh. "My good name has been besmirched and dragged down through the mood in the people's eyes, as they are aware of my wife's relationship with the King. Therefore, it is fitting that my name be restored to its former status, don't you think?"

Sir Dietrich snaps, "The knowledge becoming public is not OUR king's fault."

The Archduke continues, "He may claim that it was not him that told everyone. But it doesn't change the fact that everyone knows. And I think being named King's Regent is enough to fix that."

Sir Dietrich, "you're asking to be put in charge of picking the next King."

This time the Archduke is the one that cuts him off. "That I am, but that's not all. Due to the King's actions, my experience in bed with my future wife is forever ruined. Thus, I require another of her family to take her place."

Sir Dietrich, "HOW DARE YOU ASK FOR THE KING’S SISTER TO BE YOUR CONCUBINE!"

Archduke smiles. "Why wouldn't I? he made his own mother his concubine, so I should be able to do the same to his sister."
