Sorry all! I swear I haven't forgotten about this thread. I still want to tell this story. I've just been SUPER busy. If you find continuity errors and such creeping in have some mercy. I've got a lot of stuff on the go right now and this story is bubbling away at the furthest back burner atm.

Back at ‘home’ you and Button lay out her only blanket then sit side by side near the little heater in the center of the round space. Button sings a funny song as she opens the containers which she deposited your stolen dinner. The container on the left had brown nuggets while the one on the right green, all of them still warm and glossy. Button wiggles her tush as you kind of dance in place and try to sing along with her silly song. On the deck above your family was enjoying their time together but down here wasn’t so bad either as you and your new friend enjoy a happy picnic for two.

“Mmm!” You hum as you chew one of the brown ones. The skin of it was salty and crispy but inside was succulent, fatty meat that filled your mouth with a pleasant taste. “Some sort of chicken?”

“What’s that?” Button asks with big earnest eyes. “Chic-ken?”

You laugh. “Of course you wouldn’t know. Don’t worry about it. You know what. Don’t tell me what’s in it. Probably better not knowing.” You pop a green one in your mouth and chew it down. It was good too. Not great, there was an artificialness that came through the flavor, but it had a sort of Caesar salad flavor that was really quite nice. “Not bad.”

Button’s ears perk up and her tail wags as the cutest smile brightens her already cute features. “I’m glad you like it! I can tap into other programs if you wish but these have all the nutrients we need.” She grabs one of each nugget and chomps them on down, finishing with doggy lick round her lips. “Healthy and delicious.”

“Mmm.” You swallow and take a drink from a bottle of water Button brought. “Are you like a health nut?”

She giggles. “I’m not a nut! Do you see a shell on me?”

“Ha ha ha!” You laugh. “I mean are you like into healthy stuff. You seem really fit.”

“Thank you!” She runs her hands down her slender belly. “I am glad that my appearance pleases you Master.”

“Master?”

Indeed most of the dates you’d been on, especially with Allie, the talk had mostly been about what you could do for them. It was so strange having a super hot gal, not in your family, so focused on you. Between Button’s talk and the way your mother had submitted to you you could actually feel your self importance growing. It was nice, but it kind of bugged you too.
