"Oh, that? That, sir, is a...
Magic Marker
"Anything you draw with it becomes real, and whatever you write becomes true."
"Bullshit." I said, but I so uncapped the marker and wrote 'blue' on the side of the van. I blinked and the been has turned the same shade of blue i was imagining.
"Hey!" The stranger called out, irritated. "Don't go changing people's colors without asking! Red is like... my brand, man."
"Holy shit, it's real?!" I stepped back, marveling at the blue van.
"Yes, it's real." The guy was sounding exacerbated. "Now cross out what you wrote to undo it."
I did as he instructed and drew a line across the word. In another blink of the eye, not only did the van return to its original red, the word had disappeared.
"You would do the same for whatever you draw, by the way." Shady guy explained. "Just put an 'X' across the image and it'll disappear."
Before I could say another word, the van door slid closed and the van drove off. I was left standing there with an actual magic marker in hand and too many ideas what to do with it.
