Madison Ramos

Sitting down with the police report on Madison Ramos, my eyes scan the details. The case was discovered on August 22 when Deputies Ava Smith and Liam Johnson responded to a call from an anonymous source about an open door and running water. I imagine the scene when they found the door ajar, their hearts heavy with dread, only to find Madison Ramos in the bathtub, her wrists slit and drained of blood.

I pause, my heart heavy as I read that there was a suicide note. A small, twisted feeling coils in my stomach as I read the details of the scene. The similarities to Emily's case are striking, right down to the bottle of Adderall found at the scene. It feels as if I'm piecing together a puzzle, and as I continue to read, more pieces fit into place.

Taking a deep breath, I read through the rest of the report, searching for any minute detail that might prove crucial in understanding these deaths. At the bottom is a hand scrawled note, ‘Who drained the bathtub?.’ Maybe not all of the cops in town are complete idiots. Someone is asking the right questions. I wonder who?

As I pour over the autopsy report for Madison Ramos, I find myself more and more disturbed by the details that are unraveling. On one hand, the only intoxicant found in her system was ****, which could have contributed to any impulsive actions she may have taken. No adderall, though, even though it was found in her room. Maybe a **** ring?

The presence of ligature marks on her ankles, the same as Emily, indicates she was restrained before her ****. This can’t be a coincidence. I don't believe in coincidences. The discovery of hemp fibers only reinforces the idea that she was bound. I can't shake the feeling that these young women were targeted, their deaths made to look like suicides.

My stomach turns as I read about the lack of liver mortis in the corpse, same as Emily. No blood pooled in their corpses. That doesn't happen. Maybe one was a freak occurence, but complete exsanguination points to the fact that she was bled out, her life drained from her body.

As I turn the page, my eyes land on the section detailing the cutting tool. I look for any indication of a staged suicide, but come up blank. There is no mention of what the cutting tools were. It might be worth a look, though they are almost certainly held as evidence.

I sit down at my computer, my mind racing as I type in Madison Ramos's name, ready to delve into her online presence. I'm met with a variety of articles, mostly highlighting her recruitment and accomplishments as a college softball player. She was a physical therapy major as well. Her Facebook page pops up, and I click on it, eager to learn more about her.

I scan through her profile, looking at her photos, reading her posts, and poring over her friends list. The picture that emerges is one of a dedicated student and athlete, always striving for excellence. Her posts are mostly about her team, her classes, and her passion for physical therapy. There's no hint of the darkness that would eventually claim her life.

The more I read, the more I become convinced that these two young women were victims of foul play. It's an unfounded hunch, but I can't shake the feeling of a twisted predator preying on **** students, luring them in, and then taking their lives. I feel the need to dig deeper, to uncover the truth and expose this monster.
