MISS: Golondrina turns the tables

Golondrina looks you in the eyes. "Why don't you come to Leontes instead," she says. "I love my House, except for the soppy boys who are pretending to be brave and bold."

"What, Lolo? Me leave Minerval?" you ask.

"No really," she says. "Housemaster says we're short third-years, and we could use you. You've been so good tutoring me. If you came over, we could have that much more time, and you could do more of what you're good at. What do you have at Minerval?"

Fay.

"So, will you?" Golondrina asks. "Maybe Fay will come with you?"

What to do?

When you try to ACHIEVE A GOAL, on a MISS, choose one:

• Give up the GOAL. Roll to GET OUT OF TROUBLE with Golondrina and/or Fay.
• Go along with Golondrina. Give up the GOAL and spend 5 XP to join Leontes following the Advancement rules. Take a new GOAL (AMBITION -2) as a favor to Golondrina to convince Fay to join Leontes. You may try and convince Fay before or after you change Houses; if you convince her (ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL) before changing to Leontes, you will change Houses at the same time.
• Keep the GOAL. Roll an ENCOUNTER at -1 with Fay, who has been your helper, and try to convince Golondrina later. (Perhaps spend 5 XP to make her a FRIEND with a FAVOR).
