MC Avenue

Jessica the directions given to her directly. She was taken all across Pinesdale, giving her a better feel for the area. The town was a lovely place, most people seem very friendly and welcoming. Jessica also noted in her journal about how the town lives up to its no crime record. She didn't encounter a single criminal or shady looking person at all, in fact Jessica felt so safe she could walk down an alley and not be mugged!

The map took her out of the town and into the housing estates. There were blocks after blocks of different houses of all unique shapes and sizes. After a few twists and turns around the streets, Jessica had finally made it. She looked at the road name, which read "MC Avenue". "This has to be the place." Jessica said to herself, walking into the housing estate.

Jessica looked at the map one time, to see if the woman had left anymore clues. As she looked closer, she spotted that the line ended at a specific house in MC Avenue. There was a wink face drawn next to it. Jessica saw the house number was 69, so she immediately started looking for that house number.

Jessica walked past all the houses trying to find the right one. Each house was very similar, all white and 2 or 3 stories high. They all had a nice front lawn and were decorated simply. As Jessica walked down the street, she prepared herself for what she might find. She needed to be ready, so she could get the best news possible and be rich!

After about 5 mimutes of walking, Jessica finally found house number 69. The house looked the same as all the other ones, to blend in Jessica thought. Jessica walked up to the house without a moments hesitation, she needed to get some intel and fast. She wasn't intending on being in Pinesdale for long.

One Google search of 'MC Avenue Pinesdale' would show you that this isn't a street you'd wanna go down. Pinesdale's government established the neighbourhood a decade ago, when the new government wanted to be equal to all people. They built houses for the mentally challenged adults who were able to function like humans but just struggled to survive on their own.

The scheme worked tremendously for the first few months, as carers would go around each house each day with supplies and to monitor each resident. The only issue was that these residents turned out to have major issues. The Pinesdale government struggled to keep carers as they were tormented and humiliated by the residents, as they did what they wanted.

Eager to fix things and protect the reputation of the town, the Pinesdale government quickly repurposed the area. MC Avenue still remained the home for the mentally challenged, and the carers still had their jobs. The only difference was that it became a prison, not for the mentally challenged but for other criminals.

Anyone who acted up or committed a crime in Pinesdale would be sent to stay at MC Avenue with one of the residents for a certain period of time. This meant that the carers could still work and be safe, while the residents would always have someone to torment.

As Jessica walked up to house number 69, she had no idea what she was getting herself into...
