Lubing up in Engineering

Kaya was none too polite about your aborted mission. Her mech suits were her children and you had just lost one of them. She flung a greasy rag into your face as she spat into her hands, rubbed them together, and braced herself against a comically large lever sticking out of the wall of the engineering bay. With creaks and groans that sounded almost human, the lever gave way and the area buzzed to life. In front of you, what had appeared to be a solid gun-metal grey wall roared upwards, revealing a hanger hidden behind it. And in that hanger was your new mech suit.

Kaya wiped a tear from her eye, leaving an oily smudge behind. "It's so beautiful," she whispered.

Beautiful wasn't quite the word you were searching for. This thing was a goddamn beast. It looked like a mechanical monster, specifically designed to rip and tear. If the demons could feel fear, they would when they faced you in this.
