Chapter 99 by Vain Vain

Shopping or not? What say the others...?

Looks like they're all staying in

"But, it's not even lunchtime yet!" Vicky objected even louder than Zack did, when Heather returned to the living room with one of her daddy's whiskey bottles. Still she seemed rather curious though, as if she really wouldn't mind something a little stronger than the beer she was holding in her hands. "Is that stuff even drinkable at all...?"

"Of course it is!" Brandon smiled as he checked the brand, and then uncorked the bottle. "A pretty decent one actually. Good for the newbies!"

"And we could certainly need something to keep us warm on a day like this!" Ashley chimed in behind him, having left the second bottle in the kitchen to be able and carry a bunch of glasses. "Just don't try and sweep it, Vicky! Both Brandon and Heather's dad would likely kill you for not enjoying the good taste!"

"I'm not that much of a fan!" Her boyfriend tried to object, but was still very careful with the amount of whiskey he'd pour into each glass. "Don't get me started by trying to mix it with something else, ok...?"

"We'll see..." The blonde smiled at him, before taking a long sip from the one he handed her. "This stuff isn't for everyone, you know?"

"Fine, let me try some then..." Vicky grimaced a bit as she smelled the content of her glass, but decided to sweep it quickly rather than try and hold herself back. She didn't like to be treated like a kid after all, and even if it wasn't her friends intentions, she was starting to get annoyed with all this talk about 'this stuff isn't for everyone'. "Oh, god...?!"

"Don't tell me I didn't warn you!" Ashley chuckled a little as her friend almost choked on the stuff - but looked quite surprised when the girl immediately asked for another. "Hey, Vicky? I really mean it - you're not supposed to sweep it, ok?"

"Yeah, fine." The other blonde grumbled while taking it a little bit slower with the next glass. She was already one ahead of the others however, and didn't want them to catch up just yet...

"Well, it seems to be working out just fine." Heather flashed a smile at Zack, as she found him still waiting in the kitchen. "Perhaps you'll have a chance at going to the shop tomorrow instead?"

"Yeah, sounds fine with me." He agreed while accepting the glass from her hand, and then smelled it's contents before daring a taste of it. "I just hope we won't end up plundering your poor dad's entire stash before we leave here!"

"I'm sure that won't be a problem really!" The brunette laughed a little, and then winked at him mischievously as she smoothly changed the subject entirely. "I heard some of us had trouble with sleepwalkers though...?"

"Huh...?" Zachary just gaped at her for a moment, and a blush started spreading across his handsome face while he obviously tried to figure out how she could possibly know about it in the first place. The answer came to him clear as daylight however, when he could see that mischievous smile on her lips and the gleam in her eyes. "It was you, wasn't it...?"

"Hey, don't try and blame someone else for who you end up with in bed!" She giggled shamelessly, and for whatever reason gave him a quick peck on the cheek before turning to head back to the others in the living room. Before leaving she couldn't keep from teasing him just a little bit more however, and smiled again as she glanced back at him over her shoulder. "And speaking of that... Shouldn't you try and keep a closer eye on the ones you actually do choose to share your bed with...?"

"What's that supposed to mean...?" He tried asking her, but cut himself off as he realized there was one little detail he'd almost completely forgotten about. Where was Chloe when he woke up that morning? Had she too been involved in this prank to somehow sneak Victoria into his bed at night...?

Should he ask her himself? Get more information out of Heather? What else is going on here anyway...?
