I'm curious, so I decide to style mom's hair after all and replace 'long purple hair' with 'wavy blonde hair with pink ends' and--

Mom's hair hasn't had pink ends for weeks, after all. Getting her to visit a stylist in the first place was difficult, after all, so she didn't maintain the look for very long. It did make her decide to add a bit more pink to her wardrobe though, like the sweater she's "wearing" right now. She certainly doesn't have her hands on her hips, either.
