Long Dress → Traditional Ninja Mask

Let's reinforce the ninja theme. Best way to do that... I suppose would be to target some of her clothes. I think the dress is interfering with the 'ninja outfit,' so I decide to replace Mom's 'long dress' with a 'traditional ninja mask.'

As the scene flickers and changes in stop-motion, Mom moves from standing out in the open to within some kind of semi-public foyer, and her posture shifts so that she's staring straight into the camera with a sort of fierceness that she previously lacked. A ribbed black mask obscures the lower half of her face, and her outfit has turned stereotypically black with its most standout features being some purple trimming and a buckled harness of some kind. It also stops just above her knees in a skirt, making it clear she's wearing stockings now - or at least longsocks.

...She's also got her purse back, which adds a sort of surreal twist to what would - without it - be the scene of a fierce ninja demanding answers from the person she knows to be on the other end of a camera. Instead, it's the same thing but she's also a housewife or something so it's more like she's about to lecture me for forgetting the groceries than anything nefarious.

Anyway, that went pretty well. What now?
