Chapter 32 by krm2116 krm2116

What does Jessica find when she wakes up?

Linda, the future

Michelle is lying nude on her back, gagged with her hands bound. Jessica, laying on her side next to Michelle, feeds from Michelle's neck. Michelle's head lolls from side to side, with Jessica's fangs in her throat and Jessica's hand clutching her breast tightly. Linda lays behind Jessica, caressing her legs and kissing her neck and shoulders as Jessica drinks from Michelle. The blood **** from the mansion is **** on the floor, a large bite wound evident on her thigh.

Michelle's pulse begins to weaken, and Jessica withdraws her fangs and licks the wound. Jessica rolls over onto her back, eyes closed, blood lust temporarily sated. Linda kisses Jessica's breasts as Jessica sighs.

It feels good to be free Jessica thinks. She pulls Linda into a kiss, Michelle's blood still on her lips. Jessica kisses her human companion lovingly, and they cuddle together, the friction of the previous night unapparent.

After some time, Linda sits up in the bed and holds her knees. She stares at the wall, brow furrowed.

Jessica reaches out to rub Linda's thigh. "Linda.... What is it?" She asks, her concern evident.

"Jessica.... We need to talk" Linda says cautiously. Jessica sits up and hugs Linda from behind, her hands wrapping around Linda's knees. Jessica kisses Linda's neck. She always smells so good Jessica thinks.

"Jessica, don't, we need to talk for real" Linda protests, freeing herself from Jessica's arms and turning to face Jessica.

"I don't know how to say this" Linda says, biting her lip.

"It's okay, you can say what you need to say" Jessica says softly.

"You killed that man last night. For no reason" Linda begins. Jessica opens her mouth to interject, but decides it will be better to let Linda say her piece.

"Elizabeth's mansion, I don't know, it felt so different. Like a dream. But we are on the outside now. And you drained him in the middle of the street. He never did anything to us. I thought you were different from the rest of them" Linda says dejectedly, a single tear rolling down her cheek.

I am different from them Jessica thinks. She formulates excuses in her mind, but knows that Linda is right. I killed because it felt good.

A silence descends on the room, gloomy and oppressive. Linda stares at her hands. After a few minutes, Jessica reaches out, the back of her hand caressing Linda's tear streaked cheek.

"I'm sorry. You're right. There's no defense for what I did. It was...monstrous" Jessica says. After a pause, she adds that "it won't happen again."

Linda looks up at Jessica. Jessica smiles, but Linda still looks unsettled. I need to be better for her Jessica thinks.

"What will you do with them?" Linda says, looking at the sleeping blood **** on the floor. "I think we should set them free" Linda says. Jessica nods. Jessica and Linda embrace.

Jessica and Linda see the blood **** free. Jessica enthralls her to forget everything from the mansion onward. They learn that her name is Leah, and she was snatched off the street by Elizabeth's thralls. They buy her a bus ticket towards home, towards her family.

Michelle is more complicated.

"You need to give her closure!" Linda yells at Jessica, "you can't just wipe her memory. You killed her husband."

Jessica's first instinct was to simply wipe Michelle's memory and move on. Jessica convinces Jessica that she needs to let Michelle know that her husband is dead, let her recover his body and move on.

"Okay... Okay... You're right" Jessica says.

"I love you" Linda says, kissing Jessica on the lips.

They drive Michelle, bound and gagged in the trunk, to the lake where they dumped her husband. They leave Michelle, bound, in a shed that they find. Jessica enthralls her to believe that she and her husband were visiting the lake when they were attacked. The assailant killed her husband, and bound her before running off. Jessica tells her, compels her, that while this is horrible, she will feel better with time. She will build a new life for herself.

Jessica and Linda leave her, and place an anonymous tip to the police.

"Thank you for doing this, Jessica. It means a lot to me" Linda says, squeezing Jessica's hand in her own.

Michelle dealt with, Jessica and Linda leave her car by the lake and walk off into the night, ready for their next chapter together.
