Like a splash creating ripples and little droplets that made their own impact sites, the thing that yanked Limbo Town into Gunreim started from a single point but branched out sporadically, anchoring to sentient life on Earth with high density to stem the damage and shorten the disaster. As a result, an island formed from skyscrapers, buildings, lawns, and a bit more. Thankfully and unfortunately, many of these structures collapsed. Still, all of them came together to have enough structural integrity to create solid ground from rubble. They were placed on one of the peels of Gunreim, giving it an ocean floor, from which the buildings could hold steady as people escaped upwards to the surface or quickly devolved into factions, especially as the zombies rolled in.
Because of events, different cultures, technology, and buildings from various timelines were brought over. But so were people, including people whose world wasn't even touched, and who only appeared to go missing as one of many in the files.
