Hit a key?

Lewd remarks about Sofie

The next morning, as Samuel settled in at his workplace, he noticed something out of the ordinary. Sofie, who usually didn't make a habit of visiting his area, suddenly dropped by to say hi. Her makeup, even though subtle, enhanced her features without being too prevalent.

"Good morning, Samuel!" Sofie greeted him with a cheerful tone. "I thought I'd swing by and say hi. If there's anything you need you call me, kay?"

"Good morning, Sofie! It's a pleasant surprise to see you here. You look fantastic today, by the way."

Sofie's eyes sparkled with appreciation, and she blushed slightly, replying with a coy smile.

Their brief but warm interaction brightened the start of the workday for both of them. It was a reminder that small gestures of connection and appreciation could go a long way in building positive relationships with colleagues.

Samuel's coworker, Will, couldn't help but comment on Sofie's visit. "Damn, man," he said with a nudge, "She must be into you. Did you see the way she looked?"

Samuel, taken aback and still not quite understanding Sofie's newfound interest, brushed it off, saying, "No way. Come on, I hardly know her. She's just being friendly." The Ring of Lies shimmered.

Will, undeterred, responded with a knowing stare, to which Samuel reiterated, "You're exaggerating. She isn't into me. End of story."

Again, the Ring of Lies worked its magic, turning his statement into a lie and confirming Sofie's interest.

Will, perhaps sensing more than Samuel did, concluded half-heartedly, "Yeah, I bet she does that to all the guys."

Samuel's mind raced with doubt as he considered Will's words. "Are you saying she's... she's not some bimbo, Will" The Ring of Lies glowed. Somewhere else in the building, Julie felt a sudden jolt of vertigo.

Will, in a neutral tone, replied, "I know, I know. Just saying she likes you, is all."

Samuel gave up trying to explain his doubts and returned to work, still uncertain about the dynamics of his connection with Sofie.

As lunchtime approached, Samuel noticed Sofie waiting by the office entrance. She had redone her makeup, now impeccably applied with a touch of elegance. Her presence seemed to have an air of anticipation.

"Sofie," Samuel greeted her with a nod, masking his surprise as he approached her. "You're here again?"

Sofie beamed with enthusiasm. "I couldn't resist another lunchtime walk with you, Samuel. It's such a refreshing change from the usual."

Samuel nodded, still somewhat puzzled by Sofie's newfound interest in joining his solitary walks. "Of course, Sofie. Let's go."

A walk in the park?
