Last few students left to introduce themselves

After Daisy the teacher asked 2 or 4 more students before going to the 4th row - the one right next to me, it was full with pretty girls and popular guys, or that's what it looked like. The firsts girls from that row were a group of friends.

I don't remember what they said because at that point of the class i was beginning to fall asleep but i did hear their names, some of them - the first girl was called Daphne, i didn't see how she looked but from hearing her voice i could tell that she was confident because of her looks probably and she was very popular amongst the guys. The second one was named Cathy or Kathie, something like that - she looked thick and really hot but i didn't pay attention to what she said. After her there were maybe 2 more girls but i wasn't listening as i was resting my head in my arms and i started to sleep for a couple of minutes.

I woke up shortly after when Matthew and his friends next to me started giggling and murmuring about the girl in front, i looked at the girl and listened for a while - she looked similar to other girls before her so i didn't pay attention, i heard her name though, Sarah.

I was now fully sleeping while the teacher continued bringing people in front, now she was calling the popular guys - a bunch of jocks with muscular bodies and confident attitudes. I didn't hear anything from them, not even their names but as the room went silent for a moment i went back to sleep until Matthew poke my head.

I noticed that the guy next to me in the fourth row was now going back to his seat so it meant that i was next. Holy shit is my turn, i'm so nervous... ok wake up, you need to give a good impression i said to myself and then walked to the front when Miss Alyssa called me.

I looked at the whole class in front of me, i was really nervous because some people were staring at me kinda weird. I looked around to see Matthew talking with his friends and glanced at the group of cute girls right in front of me - i noticed that Daisy was whispering something to May while i was still standing without saying a word. It was really akward since the teacher didn't ask a question until like half a minute later, she seemed to be distracted but finally she said "Tell us all about you" with a bored tone.

I cleared my throat before speaking "I am André Price, i'm 18 years old... i just moved to this city a week ago so i'm fairly new and don't know much about this city, like at all. I did hear that this school was really good so now i'm here to get a quality education for my future" i looked around to see that the class wasn't paying that much attention, except the cute girls group and Matthew's group.

I decided to continue and answer the last question but i knew that i had to give a good first impression so i came up with an idea on the spot, i hoped that it would work because if it didn't i was going to be really embarassed.

"What can i say about myself? Well... to be honest i don't even know how to answer that... i'm basically starting a new life from scratch at this city and everything has changed for me to the point i don't even know what to do or who i am. However i see this change as a good thing... now that i'm starting from zero i'm able to reach new goals and explore more about myself and my sorroundings... there are so many oportunities now that it would impossible to tell you everything i can do ...so if you ask me to say things about me, why don't you come and see for yourself?" I gave a confident expression and then looked at the pretty girls in the 4th row, they seemed to be amused by me as i was smirking like an idiot but i think they at least found me likeable, Gosh that was so corny, why don't you come and see for yourself... really?? André, come on you are better than this i said to myself.

Apparently the teacher liked my answer and so did the girls in front of me - Scarlet seemed impressed and May smiled, giving me a safe feeling as i stood there in front of the whole class. It was cool as i thought that everyone liked what i said but probably half of the class was asleep and no one really cared.

I went back to my seat while i kept smirking like an idiot - i felt like i was the shit but really it wasn't that much, i was just over exaggerating from a couple of smiles from cute girls but it still felt good. Matthew gave me a highfive as i sat down and his friends looked at me and nodded like they were giving me recognition for my actions.

After that they went to the front and i finally heard their names - it was weird because i literally sat next to them for an entire hour and didn't even asked their names. One of them was named Quincy and the other one, Caleb. They looked cool but i could tell that they were not that popular - the class was paying less attention to them than when i went there to talk about myself, maybe it is because they already knew them and i was new?, i don't know i thought.

And that's how we reached the last 3 students - they were pretty forgettable so i don't remember anything about them. Miss Alyssa stood up and said "Well thanks to everyone for sharing and now is time for recess so go out there and do whatever, really... i don't care, just go" she sounded like the rest of the class, bored as hell - she looked really tired and, as she said that and everyone left the class, i saw her go back to her seat and lean there with her head pointing at the ceiling.

Before leaving the classroom i got close to her desk and just said "Hello Miss Alyssa, how are you doing?" She looked frustrated by me and let a huge sigh before saying "You should go out with the other kids..."

I accepted the fact that she didn't want to talk and headed out before she said "I liked your answer at the end... it was really deep" i chuckled and tried to reply to her but she shook her head and made a gesture to tell me that i should go outside and so i did.
