"No, can I come by?"

Erica was panicking and she didn't realize how much time had passed as she paced back and forth in her apartment. "Fuck!" She said to herself, looking at the clock and realizing how much time had passed since she texted her friend. "One sec!" She yelled before walking over and unlocking the door seeing her friend with tears in her eyes. "Kylie? Everything okay?"

"Jason dumped me," she said before Erica reached out and hugged her friend tightly.

"I'm so sorry," she said trying to comfort her.

Kylie and Jason had been going out for just over a year. They seemed happy for the most part, but deep down Erica never really liked him. She thought maybe it was because of her feelings for Kylie, but she tried to remain objective and support them, but he always just rubbed her the wrong way.

"Come on, I have some wine," Erica said inviting her friend in and forgetting about her strange issue for the moment.

"I just didn't see it coming. I thought everything was going well, but he started getting distant a few weeks ago and then today he just......" she said, sitting down on the couch as Erica opened a bottle of wine.

"I'm sorry, he seemed like such a....... nice guy?" Erica said trying not to bash him.

"Come on, I know you never liked him," Kylie said as Erica handed her a glass. "Was it something I missed? Do I just not see things that others do?"

"Relationship goggles can do a lot," Erica said sitting down next to her. "But you are an amazing woman, and if he can't see that then fuck him. Besides, you still have me," Erica said with a smile.

"Yeah, but you're my best friend. So you're biased," Kylie said with a slight giggle, smiling for the first time since she got there. She sat there silent for a few moments before finally saying: "so, how's your love life?"

"Oh, uh," Erica said not sure how to answer that.

"I don't mean to pry, but you haven't really talked about your personal life lately, almost as if you're avoiding something?"

"Just, haven't found the right girl, is all," Erica said before taking a sip.

"Come on Erica, something is bothering you, and it has been for a while. You know you can tell me anything, right?" Kylie said, trying to get her friend to open up.

"It's nothing, really," she said before trying to change the subject as Kylie slid closer to her.

"Erica?" She asked, her eyes still wet from earlier.

Erica's heart was racing in her chest. If she didn't know any better, she would think that Kylie wanted to kiss her, be she knew that couldn't be true. She looked at her friend as she stared into her eyes. She was nervous as Hell and wanted to change the subject, or get up and leave but her mind was starting to race and as she opened her mouth to speak, Kylie leaned in and kissed her on the lips.

Erica couldn't believe this was happening as the shock quickly turned to lust as she placed her hand on Kylie's cheek and kissed her back. Her lips were soft, and the kiss was everything she dreamed it would be, but soon her mind began to race.
