Kitty's Return

"Where the hell did that come from?" Kumiko asked as she looked down at the gargoyle that had landed on Gwuck. Half a second later, the doors slammed shut once more, leaving Kumiko outside in just her bra, ripped panties, hat, gloves, and boots.

"Hey!" She screamed in anger as she pounded on the doors.

"Kumiko, you don't really expect them to answer, do you?"

At the sound of the familiar voice, Kumiko gasped as she stopped pounding the door. The heroine turned around to see Kitty the Quokka flying up to her.

"Kitty!" Kumiko shouted, embracing her friend in a tight hug. "I'm so glad you're here! I thought I lost you! How did you escape?"

"I'm a magical, flying, talking quokka, Kumiko." Kitty said with a chuckle as he slipped out of the heroine's grasp. "I can get out of a simple cage. However," Kitty donned a serious expression, "that's not important right now! Kumiko! We were all kidnapped by this evil shadowy woman who -"

"I know Kitty!" Kumiko interrupted, "She broke all our most dangerous enemies, and The Lord of Lobsters, out of prison and kidnapped all of you so she could get to me!"

"How did you -"

"The Moth Queen got a little too blabby."

"Huh... Makes sense." Kitty commented.

"Wait!" Kumiko said as an idea came to her head, "If you escaped, then that means you know where my parents, Kiyoshi, Chimera, and The Guardian Devil are being held, right?"

"Oh, I get it..." Kitty said with a smile, "You want to free them so that The Goddess of Shadow has nothing on you. That way, you can wallop her into next week!"

"Yep! That's it ex-" Kumiko began, only to stop as she raised an eyebrow in confusion. "How did you know her name?"

"You would not believe how many times she brought herself up in conversation, Kumiko." Kitty deadpanned as he rolled his eyes.

"You know, I can believe that." Kumiko said with a sigh. Shaking her head, she said, "Do you know how to get into the castle so I can rescue everyone?"

"The doors can't be opened from the outside, unfortunately." Kitty explained, "However, I did find a secret passage in and out of the castle deep in the jungles."

"Of course it is..." Kumiko sighed, shaking her head. "Lead the way, Kitty."

And with that, Kumiko followed the quokka into the jungle and away from the castle...

Completely unaware of the quokka giving an evil smirk as he flew ahead.

Deep within the dungeons of the castle, Mr. and Mrs. Kishi were in a holding cell, the two parents still trying to wrap their head around their daughter being Magical Girl Kumiko as Kiyoshi sighed.

Nearby, Ken was sitting in a cell surrounded by a ring of fire, the young man having removed his shirt from the heat as he began to sweat up a storm.

"You think you've got it bad?!" Chimera griped to his host as he retreated in his tattoo form on Ken's wrist. "You're not the one who's weakness is fire, you wimp!"

Across the way was a naked Osaka, sitting in the middle of a salt circle as she hugged her knees to her chest. The woman blushed profusely as she wished she could return to her demon form right now, cursing that stupid shadow kangaroo for getting the drop on her in the shower before knocking her out.

The Goddess of Shadow smirked as opened another cell and threw Selkie in, the woman grunting as she landed on the floor. The Irish woman snarled as she got back up, just as the cell door slammed.

"Don't try anything funny, my dear." Goddess of Shadow said, "Not that you could anyway, considering were about five miles inland."

"You aren't going to get away with this!" A voice shouted, causing the shadow woman to look up at a hanging bird cage as Kitty the Quokka tried in vain to break the bars. "Seriously, I'm a magical, flying, talking quokka. Why can't I get out of a simple cage?" He muttered under his breath.

"And just why won't I get away with this?" Goddess of Shadow asked, tapping the cage and causing it to sway back and forth.

"Because Kumiko is not going to let her friends down!" Kitty shouted, "Once she sees how you've got me trapped, she'll -"

"Oh, I don't think that will be a problem." Goddess of Shadow said as she summoned a viewing portal, the quokka gasping as he saw what looked like himself leading a half dressed Kumiko through the jungle.

"Don't worry, Kumiko!" The imposter Kitty exclaimed, "We'll find that secret passage and rescue all our friends!"

"Thanks, Kitty!" Kumiko said as she reached out and hugged the imposter again. "I guess you really are a trusted, loyal friend."

"K-Kumiko!" The real Kitty gasped in horror.

"A little disappointed in Stryker for giving away my name and the location of the secret entrance, but..." Goddess of Shadow said with a shrug, "If you want to make an omelette, you need to break a few eggs. Stryker is going to make sure that girl is completely humiliated by the time she gets here."

"No..." Kitty gasped as Stryker and Kumiko ran off together into the jungle, a tear running down his face. "No. No. No. No."

"Gwoddess Gwf Gwhadow!" Gweneral Gwuck shouted as he entered the dungeon, causing the shadow woman to groan in annoyance. "Gwi, Gweneral Gwuck, Gwequest Gwhat Gwou Gwive Gwe Gwnother Gwhance Gwhat Gwestroying Gwagical Gwirl Gwumiko! Gwlease!"

"You had your chance at destroying and humiliating Kumiko, Gwuck." Goddess of Shadow groaned, "And you blew half of it."

"Gwho Gwhe Gwuck Gwis 'Gwumiko'? Gwi Gwanted Gwo Gwestroy Gwagical Gwirl Gwumiko!"

Goddess of Shadow stared at the alien slime in a stunned silence for several seconds, blinking occasionally. Pinching the bridge of her nose, the shadow woman shook her head and said, "Just get out of my sight and tell Curb Stomper he's next..."

"Gwi Gwssure Gwf Gwou, Gwoddess Gwf Gwhadow! Gwi -"

"Get. Out!" The Goddess of Shadow repeated more forcefully, causing Gwuck to salute and slither out of the dungeon. Once he was gone, the shadow woman sighed as she walked towards the doors, muttering, "Why is it so hard to find good help these days...?"

As the doors to the dungeon closed, all the prisoners looked over to see a distraught Kitty still staring into the viewing portal.

"Kumiko..." Kitty whispered, "Please! Get away while you still can..."
