Kendra happily took the vial. "Oh thank you!" Finally, she could be normal again. She checked the needle, making sure it was sterile, then stuck herself in the arm. Drew grunted, "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. I do that more than you might think. Come on, let's go swim." He still had his shirt on, but he had changed into swim trunks. Kendra noticed him eyeing her in her bikini.

The three of them went out the back door to the patio, where the pool was. It was about three o'clock, so the sun was still high, and the water looked perfect. Kendra ran to the edge of the pool and jumped in. She fully submerged in the water, letting her raven black hair loose and relaxing in the cold water.
