Kaido

"No, Zorr!" the smaller male, Kaido, snarls. "You two have pushed me around for years, but we're all involved in this **** trade. You two keep all of the slaves we don't sell off, I think it's my turn to keep one!"

His cohorts are taken aback. "Nice to see you standing up for yourself for once, Kaido," Ashi says after a pause. "Now throw the boy in a sack and let's get going." Wait, a sack?

Before you can do or say anything, Kaido throws a large, hide sack over your head. You squirm, but that only causes the smelly sack to finish covering your whole body. You are swiftly picked up by your ankles and held upside down. You feel rope tie the bag shut around your ankles, and your captor slings you over his shoulder.

You are jostled for hours, your side bruising from bouncing on his muscular shoulder, and blood rushing to your dangling head. The three gnolls constantly speaking in their grating, growling language is not helping that headache, either. At least this gives you time to consider your situation, but you can't think of a way out. Grinko took your sword, and even if you had it the fight would be one against three.Soon you enter an almost daze-like state. Not quite sleep, thanks to the constant jostling, but close to it.

You are brought out of that state when you are swiftly and suddenly slammed on the ground, knocking the wind out of you. The gnoll voices get louder and increase in number, and you hear what sounds like arguing. Then you are picked up again, but thankfully only for a short while. You are set down again, surprisingly much gentler this time, and you are seated against a wall. After a short time of almost total silence, you feel gentle hands untying the ropes around your feet. The bag is taken off of you as well, revealing your location to be inside a tent, leaning on a bed.

Your captor, Kaido, is kneeling before you, rolling up the bag. In this lighting, his face seems almost sympathetic.

"Hi," he says in a comparatively gentle voice, not looking at you. "I guess I'm your owner now."

You don't respond, because of the gag in your mouth, but Kaido continues. "I really didn't expect to be allowed to keep you. I assumed if Ashi or Zorr didn't get you, they'd just pass you along to the **** trade network. That's what happens to most slaves we get, you know, but they allow us to keep a select few."

He doesn't seem to be really talking to you, and more to himself. "I don't know why I got into this business...Ashi is right, I'm too weak for this, too weak to one a ****. I just couldn't see either of them claim another ****. they're so mean to them..." The gnoll suddenly seems to remember than that you are there. "Oh, by the spirits, your gag," he says, pulling it out of your mouth. "I'm Kaido, what's your name?"
