With your name

"...John Doe," you respond. No point in biting the hand that is preumably going to be feeding you.

"Nice to meet you, John," Kaido smiles. "My name, as you may have picked up, is Kaido, but call me sir."

You subtly roll your eyes, but Kaido notices. "Don't roll your eyes at me. Ashi and Zorr may not respect me, but you will," the feral slaver growls.

You flinch back, shrinking against the wall in fear. Kaido notices once again, and his hand covers his mouth. "I'm so sorry, John, I didn't...I don't want our relationship to be like that."

He leans in close, getting on his knees. You flinch back again, closing your eyes, not sure what to expect but you don't think it will be good. All that happens, however, is you feel is delicate and soft hand on your chin, pushing it up slightly so when you open your eyes to see Kaido is looking right at you.

"Listen, John. I know this isn't what you planned for your life, but it's better than the alternative. If I let you go, Ashi or Zorr will rekidnap you, and they are cruel and harsh. Or, even worse, you'll be attacked by monsters or something, and you don't have a weapon to defend yourself. And I promise, I'll be kind and gentle, but there just has to be some rules around here. Got it?"

"Yes...sir," you sigh quietly. You're not sure you totally believe the gnoll, but you saw he can get angry quick. And then there's that whole 'hand that feeds you' idea again.

"Good boy," Kaido smiles, standing up. "I heard the dinner bell a moment ago, would you like to come with me to get food or stay here? I'll bring your dinner back if so."
