Just go and talk to them

I decided to go and talk with them. I always had problems approaching new people but since i already talked to them before it wasn't that difficult this time.

I approached them and said "Hello girls what are you up to?" They turned around and looked at me with a pleasant smile. Daisy said first "Well look who is here..." and then Scarlet followed her comment by saying "André! It's nice to see you"

I was confident by their positive response to my presence and i got the courage to say "I came here to see the prettiest girls in school" they all laughed and so did i, as i was laughing i noticed that May was blushing - she was covering her face a little which i thought was cute.

After we stopped laughing May said "Ohh.. don't say that, don't you see that you make us go crazy when you say stuff like that..." she continued blushing but now she allowed me to see her beautiful face as she smiled at me Wow, i can't believe she is real... i thought before May continued saying "Well why don't you come take a seat then if you want to talk to the prettiest girls" i took a seat right next to May and she continued smiling at me - which i thought was nice, Maybe she has a crush on me i said to myself Nah, that's impossible... i'm sure she is just friendly. I was still questioning May's behavior and i knew that it was going to drive me crazy if i didn't get an answer.

Thankfully Ellie said as i was taking my seat "Don't worry about May, she always gets happy to see new people and thinks that everyone is great... that's why she never had a boyfriend" she looked at May with a shameful stare and she had to defend herself by saying "Is not that i don't find people attractive or i'm not interested in romantic stuff, is just that i like to be friends with everyone because i can't find someone good to be with"

I looked at May as she said that and she looked back at me, i tried to compliment her by saying "I think is ok if you want to be friends with everyone, at our age there's no need to find someone special. I find it cool that you are trying to save yourself for the right person... i wasn't meaning to come off like..." she interrupted me saying

"Oh it's fine... yeah i just joke around with people and i'm generally really friendly... i know that you are just saying nice things without an intention and i can tell that from now on we could be good friends"

Damn, i already established my interests and now she knows that we are only going to be friends i thought Maybe is the best for both of us, it was going to be akward for me to talk with this girl but now i know that she is just being friendly and that there's nothing i should worry about... great, now things are clear and i don't have to overthink shit.

"Yeah i'm also just being friendly and you know..." i akwardly said "Of course we can all be friends..." she smiled and then exclaimed "Give us your number so we can talk to you later"

And so we did - the 4 girls added me to their contacts, Scarlet asked me "How do you want me to name you in my contacts?"

"Uhh... i don't know... my name i guess, but people also call me Dre..."

After they all added my number to their contacts Daisy started talking "So... Dre... do you read books? We spend most of our time reading and doing stuff like that... you probably won't like it though" Scarlet joined the conversation by saying "Well i'm sure that you will probably have some common interests with us... i mean, i play videogames and watch anime... Ellie also is a bit of a geek... Daisy is a book fanatic and does everything related with books so if you don't like books then you won't like her, May... well she does all sorts of things, i think you are going to find a common interest with May, that's for sure" after she said that May looked at me and smiled like she already knew i liked her. I mean i do like her... but you know, as a friend and not because i think she is the prettiest girl in the planet or anything, is because she seems interesting and stuff... oh man, i will have to accept the fact that May is probably going to be a good friend and nothing more than that i thought before replying.

"Oh... i do read a little... from time to time, but i read more short stories and other stuff from forums and websites... so i don't read that many books..." i said as i noticed that Daisy was frowning a little, like i dissapointed her - it was sad to see because i knew that i was probably not going to talk to her that much, of course i could try reading more but i'll see i thought before continuing.

"Well... i do love videogames, i don't watch anime but i do love movies and series... i consider myself a geek, yes but i also have other hobbies sooo... May what do you do? Maybe we have common interests that we could talk about"

She looked at me and said jokingly "I don't know... why don't you talk to me later and find out for yourself?" Oh shit, she used my own line against me... damn, what do i do now i thought as i saw her giggle.

"Oookaaaay... you are going to be like that... i see" i said with the same tone, she looked at me and playfully nodded before i continued saying "Then i guess i will have to talk more to you to discover what you do... i hope you don't kill people for a living..." everyone laughed before May said "I'm looking forward to talking with you"

And with that we spent the rest of time talking about our interests and some books - it wasn't anything important but i was happy that i was getting along with these cute girls. After bantering at the library for like an hour the bell rang and we had to go downstairs for the next class.
