Chapter 4 by AinBaum AinBaum

Back to the caves or more stealing?

Just a few explanations, not a must-read

The story takes place in a mountain range or massif known as Emporne. Mount Imporne which appears in most stories is basically the front guard of this massif, the first sign of whats to come. In other words, the area is mountainous, albeit non-mountain areas are sstill right next door (the bandits cave is in the outskirts after all).

The main character might seem to powerful. He's supposed to be powerful, his stats are naturally a bit higher than what is normal as he is not a normal NPC but rather a leader of normal NPCs, he's basically a nano-boss without technically being a boss. If you're wondering why he has Lightning bolt, which is completely overpowered for level 5, I know that, but I wanted to give him a truly heavy caliber, at least he can only use it once per battle due to high costs. A propos, yes, shock doesn't cost mana, if you wait 5 seconds before casting it again at least.

Why did I talk about the body of the MC and the Battlemaster like that? To drive home that these two are different from the rest, not onloy are they more powerful, they also lool the part.

The whole classes thing? To bring some diversity into the game the developers assigned generic bandits like them multiple classes they can be randomly assigned on respawn, the leader has a far bigger pool than the normal bandits. The leader is almost never just a Bandit, the normal bandits however are almost always Bandits.

The fight with the cattle-man was too easy. It's supposed to be easy, a lvl. 5 high damage guy attacks a lvl. 1 guy who isn't even made for combat, I'll do my best to make actual fights more interesting, but this was hardly an actual fight.

What's next?
