Joseph, or Joe as he’s usually called, rereads the note again in case his eyes deceived him. No, it still reads the same as it did before.

He sets the note down and looks back to the book he found it tucked inside. It looks ancient, its unmarked leather binding splitting in multiple spots and the blank pages yellowed with age. This is definitely something he would have never gotten for himself. He’s never been much into antiques, much less ones that don’t seem to have any actual significance. Still, he can’t help but be intrigued by this mysterious tome that he found at the door to his apartment. Who knows? Maybe it’s real. Even if it’s not, maybe it’ll be a decent journal or talking piece? If nothing else, it’ll probably net him a few bucks at an antique shop.
