Jessica plays Sampson

Jessica forces herself to stay awake, resisting the urge to sleep at dawn. Jenna sleeps next to her. After all the feeding, there is color in her cheeks. She almost looks human. Asleep, she looks so innocent. Jessica kisses Jenna's forehead and tiptoes off of bed and out of the room.

She'd be lying if she said that she didn't find last night extremely pleasurable - the sex, the feeding, the kills. It was incredible. Her body is still tingling from all of the blood that she consumed. But she was playing a part. Deep down, Jessica's convictions have only solidified. She feels bad about the girls that she drained, but reasons that they would have been drained anyway. Convincing Jenna and Elizabeth that she had succumbed to monstrosity was her only play here. I am nothing like those animals she tells herself, I am still in control of myself.

Jessica tiptoes to find Vanessa's bedroom. Vanessa is sleeping, cradling a bound woman covered in cuts and bruises. What a sick bitch Jessica thinks. In a flash, Jessica is bending over Vanessa, her hand clasped over Vanessa's mouth absorbing a scream, her other hand gripping Vanessa's shoulder, pinning her to the bed. Jessica bites into Vanessa's neck, savoring what she realizes is likely to be her last kill. Vanessa bleeds out into Jessica's mouth. Jessica unties the bound girl, commanding her to be quiet, leave the mansion, and forget everything she saw here.

Jessica walks from room to room, observing sleeping vampires. Vampires are heavy sleepers during the daylight hours, but she doesn't risk freeing the handful of humans that she finds in their quarters.

On lower levels of the house, she finds a few thralls diligently working. Preparing food in the kitchen, scrubbing the evidence of last night's massacre out of the ballroom, removing corpses to be incinerated. Jessica quietly unenthralls them, giving them the same instructions that she gave to the woman in Vanessa's bed. Next, she moves to the basement, unlocking all the cells and freeing the two dozen or so captive women.

The first phase of Jessica's plan is complete, the mansion mostly emptied of human prisoners.

Elizabeth must still be here Jessica reasons, she'll be sleeping off her gluttony and will probably wait for nightfall to leave.

Jessica goes to the kitchen, and lights a candle on the stove. She goes from room to room on the first floor, lighting the heavy curtains on fire. As smoke detectors begin to blare, she hears running feet upstairs. Vampiresses, groggy from their slumbers, start streaming down the stairs as the house rapidly is engulfed in flames. One of them, Maya Jessica thinks, doesn't think and runs out the front door in a panic. The other vampiresses scream as they watch her burst into flames, realising they are trapped in the burning mansion.

Jenna and Elizabeth come down the stairs.

"What have you done?" Elizabeth screams. In the blink of an eye she is clutching Jessica's throat, lifting her an inch above the floor. Jessica just smiles.

In panic, more vampiresses try running outside, unsuccessfully. The rest huddle in the foyer as burning beams begin to collapse around them.

Elizabeth drops Jessica, an shrieks in rage, eyes closed. She looks unsuccessfully for something to cloak herself in to run outside, but the fire has by now blocked all paths.

Jessica falls to her knees and cries tears of joy. I've won.
