Jessica greets the dawn

The sun slowly begins its lazy climb in the morning sky. Though not in the direct sunlight, yet, the glare is blinding to Jessica.

I can't go on another minute as an abomination, an animal Jessica thinks. She is sad at was has transpired, but feels defiant, even triumphant at her choice. Jessica chose goodness. She rejected wickedness.

The sun is now above the treetops. As Jessica's skin catches fire in the harsh rays, she stares up to the heavens and smiles. She is finally free.
