Its Zack

Zack is standing in the doorway, his emotional state clearly written on his face. Zack was not angry, nor was he sad. Confused is what Zack was, completely baffled.

"Zack!" Chloe breathed out, finding herself breathless.

But Chloe calling out his name didn't reach the target. Zack stumbled out of the room looking like a deer caught in the headlights.

"Okayyy..." Victoria laughed. "Has Zack never seen two girls kiss?"

Chloe ignored the blonde as she searched for a shirt and shorts, putting them on as soon as they were in her hands. "Zack! Wait!"

"Zack? What? Chloe!" Just as Chloe was about to run out of the room Victoria stepped in front of her. "Hey! Did I do something wrong?"

'You kinda did grope my tits without my permission' Chloe stopped herself from saying. "No, you didn't, its just...best friend business." Chloe squeezed Victoria's hands reassuringly and looked at her lips, almost leaning in for another kiss. "I have to talk to Zack.

Shit shit SHIT! Chloe could not find Zack anywhere in the cabin, nor by the lake. It was only when Chloe went out to the cars did she find her best friend. He was sitting in the front of his car, the confusion on his face was gone, replaced by an unreadable mask.

"Zack?"

The two best friends made eye contact, but it was brief.

"I don't even know how it happened. One minute Victoria is saying things, then she's...touching me, and then we're kissing, and then you walked in...everything happened so SO fast. I'd never hurt you like that, you know it. I'm just- I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." She wasnt even the one I wanted too kiss.

"She...touched you? Are you okay? I mean, you wanted her to...?"

"Yes Zach, I'm okay." Chloe smiled reassuringly, despite her doubting herself. It wasn't Victoria's aggressive behavior though, but rather Zack's compassion, really unmatched by anyone Chloe knew, and a big part of why her crush developed in the first place and it was on full display. Zack was thinking about her well being after he caught her kissing his crush.

"Good," Zack said succinctly, paused, then he groaned and kicked the ground. "Chloe...I'm not mad at you. I'm- I don't know what I am." The last half hour had been the most puzzling of Zack's life, from discovering Chloe's bikini, to Heather's kiss, and finally his best friend kissing his crush. "I mean I'm definitely uh- confused."

Silence fell between the two best friends and it stayed that way under the warm Spring sun, the seconds dragging by until one of them broke.

"So you like her? Do you like girls?"

"Yes? I think? I-I'm not sure."

Zack ran his hands through his hair, some agitation surfacing. "Why didn't you say anything before? All those times we talked about Vicky-"

"Were just that! I always supported you. I didn't plan any of this. I don't know if I really like girls. I just liked the kiss and Victoria is really super nice. She can be a lot like you actually.

"So what's this mean then? Do you want to date Vicky? Should I...step aside?
