Itachi's Last Known Location

With their journey of destroying the labs of Konhas most wanted Ninja now out of the way, the Team set of on their long journey home towards the village. Konohamaru making sure to plan a route that would lead to the most possible exposure for Sasuke so word could spread about his new status. It would help if their country already had rumors about his new status prior to them arriving at the village, and make it easier that way to cement his status as Konohamarus little crybaby brother.

After they had spent another day at the road, Sasuke still clearly was somewhat shocked about his current situation, his inner struggle with his childhood trauma and his new big brother clearly wreaking havoc on him. He was no longer even going to be an Uchiha. A fact that somehow filled him with both dread and a pit of pride, especially as he saw how jealous Naruto was at his “boss” adopting Sasuke like he did.

Konohamaru on the other hand was not distracted and thus had immediately felt something was off when they left the inn they were staying at. It wasn't just the fact that he now had a pretty redhead worshiping the ground he walked upon, but something hung in the air.

As it would later turn out, it was destiny once more knocking on his door and presenting him with a perfect opportunity. Namely Itachi Uchiha, all alone, having somehow tracked their group down and confronted them on the open road.

Encountering both Uchiha brothers in such rapid succession was certainly a surprise, but not an unwelcome one. This was just the opportunity he needed to firmly hammer Sasuke's new reality into his skull.

Konohamaru could still hardly believe his luck over having run into Itachi without his fellow Akatsuki for backup. A chance like this was not to be squandered. And so as he cast a small glance towards the lovely redhead that had been thus far hanging onto his arm as well as his teammates he made the three stand back and make sure Sasuke and Naruto witnessed what he was about to do.

He then quickly entered the sage mode he had mastered while away with Jiraya and entered into a combative stand while already reading a teleport Kunai behind his back.

Because Konohoamaru was certain of the fact that he was going to kill the traitor, and while both older boys were looking worried, he was going to use this opportunity to not only prove to himself but to them too how far he had come.

"I am unsure of what happened with you Sasuke but-" Konohamaru quickly threw his Kunai and teleported behind Itachi to immediately slap a silence seal on his back before the older Uchiha could continue speaking any longer. Thanks to his own new set of Sharingan and an enormous amount of Chakra which thanks to his grandmother's faint Uchiha blood functioned on him like a natural he was able to more or less avoid the famous Uchiha ocular Genjutsu.

But vocal ones? Those could have been dangerous. Besides, it was not like Itachi should be allowed to address Knohomaru's new little brother and mess with his head unnecessarily.

He quickly followed the sealing process up with a quick barrage of punches and kicks to drive Itachi backward. They then began a battle of ninja arts mainly centered around their equipment. Itachi summoned a huge barrage of crows which transformed into Shurikens and flew at extreme speeds towards the young Sarutobi which he thanks to his Flying Raijin technique avoided and placed the first few sigils of the transfer seal on the Akatsuki.

Itachi, even more than Sasuke, was a potential target for transfer that Konoahmaru could not let slip through his fingers. Although it would be far more difficult, he simply had to try his best to salvage as much of his power as he could prior to him killing the traitor.

And thanks to his Senjutsu´, Konohamaru was strong and fast enough to more than keep up despite the handicap of not being able to use his heaviest attacks to keep the fight going as long as he needed.

After the Uchiha noticed that neither his illusions nor simple chakra saving Jutsu were proving effective he entered into hand-to-hand combat with Konohamru which turned out to be a big mistake on his part.

Konohamaru with his frog kata and monkey style quickly placed numerous new sealing points on Itachi in the ensuing battle of brawn and speed while also proving himself fast enough to land a few good hits on the older man.

It was at this point Itachi noticed that, somehow, the young Sarutobi had seemingly stolen his younger brother's eyes from him as he had been using not only his Sage arts but the fully developed Sharingan to keep up with him.

He quickly realized he had to end this battle soon or risk the same happening to him and found himself pushed to use the Amaterasu, despite this likely meaning the loss of his brother Sharingan.

Unbeknownst to Konohomaru and Itachi alike, this move would completely push the battle in the favor of Konohamaur even harder as Sasuke's transfer steal reared its head again when the younger Uchiha brother awoke his Magekyou over the sheer trauma of witnessing the possibility of Itachi killing Sasuke's new big brother.

The new Mangekyou then immediately transferred towards with another huge surge of Sasuke chakra, courage, strength, and various other qualities giving Konohamaru a considerable boost. With the additional boost in speed and strength as well as enhanced reflex thanks to his new upgraded Sharingan Konohamaru quickly dashed out of the way of the Amaterasu and poke the Uchiha in the eye with another sealing pattern placed on top of his fingertips.

He now only had to place a singular seal in the middle of Itachi's chest and the seal could do its tricks in a far more rapid and powerful absorption method. It had taken lots of time and had been quite risky, but the way Konohamaru had placed the seals would ensure that once the final seal was placed the transfer would rip everything Itachi had out of him leaving him to die from exhaustion shortly after.

He would make sure to place it with a Rasengan as cover to not alert any attention to what he was truly doing. Karin was the only person who could sense that he would steal Itachi's chakra and power from him due to her abilities, but the girl was, to put it mildly rather unlikely to talk about it to anybody else considering her near worship of Konohamaru, but he wished for Sasuke to think he had awoken his powers natural to further cement his superiority over Itachi and him alike due to his own dormant Uchiha blood.

Itachi truly did make him work for it however when he created a giant chakra structure that Konohamaru recognized as a perfect Susanoo from the times of him reading the first Hokages journals about his fight with Madara.

The Yata Mirror and the Totsuka sword were formidable weapons that put the young Saurotbi on the defensive for the first time in their long battle, but also made him only desire fully stealing the traitor's powers even more. With his own massive Chakra reserves and the weapons of the Uchiha, he was all but assured to become the youngest Kage in history.

But thankfully Itachi's own chakra reserves were far smaller than Konohamarus and he had seemingly damaged the man quite a bit more than he had expected gauging by the blood he was spitting out at times.

Eventually, a moment of weakness came in which Itachi clutched his chest and his Susanoo stalled in which Konohamaru broke teleported behind the impenetrable mirror and was able to break through the armor itself and hit Itachi right in the chest with his seal and Rasengan sending him hurtling back into the dirt where he slowly but surely died due to the massive chakra exhaustion that rapidly hit his body.

Kopnohamur on the other hand was feeling the full effect of absorbing the Uchihas eyes and becoming the second person in history to awaken the Eternal Magekyou Sharingan. When he finally turned around to flash his new yes towards the group with a big confident grin on his face he was really liking what he saw. Everybody was amazed at what he had done, but especially Sasuke looked truly shaken to his core.

"Seems that I have awoken my own Magekyou against Itachi. That Uchiha blood in me certainly proved to be quite potent didn't it?" Karin flashed him a knowing smile before throwing her arms around his head and pulling him into a tight hug before loudly proclaiming "I knew he stood no chance against you Konohamaru-kun!" before quickly turning to Sasuke and looking at him expectantly.

"Well, Sasuke-chan? What do you say to your big brother for getting rid of that nasty piece of work for you huh?" she asked while Konohamaru walked up to younger Uchiha who was actively shaking in his boots and having sunken down to Konohamaru's eye level when his own legs could no longer carry him in the face of the fight he had witnessed.

"Sasuke-chan?" Konohamaru raised his chin up a bit with his index finger looking at him with a stern expression "I know you are a bit shocked but that is no reason to forget your manners. What do we do when somebody else saves them and fulfills their goals for them?" he asked while his new EMS eyes focused upon Sasuke's own in a manner that seemed eerily close to a Genjutsu as Sasuke struggled with how to react...
