Chapter 84 by SmallestStories SmallestStories

Well, you now have a new training.

It won't impede on your original one though.

As time passed, while you continued to chat with Allit, Melda and Shirayuki of nothing particularly interesting, more of the girls woke up and got downstairs in the living room. Each one of them asked why you were up so soon, and so you had to repeat the story four more times. Eventually, after all of the girls had their breakfast and got ready, you all moved outside of the manor.

It was still quite early in the morning, so with Kogai and Shirayuki, you planned to train physically for the rest of the morning, before spending the afternoon training your new magic, to have at least some bases on it for later uses.

And so it began, with you spending some time of the morning warming up, the warm up already draining you quite a bit, and eventually leaving you sweaty, your tunic a bit too drenched in your sweat to your liking, but you couldn't do much about it anyway, since the real training had to then begin.

Like last time, Kogai made you go over the bases again, to make sure that they are still fresh in your muscles, before quickly moving on to some more advanced ways to fight.

"Seeing that you are going to train far less with me now." She said. "We will need to be as efficient as possible, and for this, you will train more specific ways to fight using the both of your blades from now on, after we go over the basics. This will happen on every training from now on, Adam, so you are warned."

"Okay, I guess this is better like this." You replied. "We'll be able to be more efficient in both trainings this way."

Kogai then opened her mouth, to close it almost immediately after, a thoughtful look on her face. It took several seconds for her to finally say.

"When you will be able to use your Primal Magic with enough stability, we will start merging some of it with your training, that is if Shirayuki is not against it, obviously."

You weren't expecting those words for sure, and they quite surprised you, as you looked at Kogai with a look reflecting your surprise. But she added without giving you enough time to say anything.

"There is more to everything than what meets the eye, Adam, and it is true for every single thing that exists in this world. Now, we will start your training or we will end up far behind schedule. Let's go !"

That is how your training of the day officially started, and it was bound to completely exhaust you, since even the first part of the training was already something. From parrying to riposts, continuous blows to feints, it almost looked like Kogai wanted to teach you everything. And you were glad that she was there to correct your postures, your blows and to show you several examples, or else you would never have been able to do it by yourself in a training like this.

But at least you weren't alone, as when you looked at Rei and Douma from time to time, they seemed to be also deep in quite the exhausting training. Every single time you looked at them, they were either casting a spell or preparing one, and you had no doubt that their energy reserves weren't unlimited, seeing as the more time passed, the less pwoerful their spells got.

Time went by like this, as all three of your party members trained, while Allit and Melda were nowhere to be found, which wasn't bothering you in the slightest, knowing that they respectively are a dragon and a Legend, so you were a little more afraid for the foes that they would stumble upon. This thought popped up in your mind from time to time, before quickly disappearing, replaced by the incessant need to train to get better.

Before you knew it, you lifted your head towards the blue sky to let out a breath, only to get blinded by the sun, which was already at its peak.

"It's noon already ?" You asked, having not given any attention to the time you spent training.

When you looked to where Rei and Douma were previously training, you saw no one, the two girls, along with Shirayuki, sitting under a tree, looking at you realizing only now that you trained for quite some time, and giggling among themselves.

"Well, Adam." Replied Kogai. "Your concentration is impressive, to not even see time go by. I wish I was so concentrated when I started training too, it wouldn't have taken so long like this. Now, should we get something to eat ?"

For sure !
