A quick snack then next training !

The lunch was quick and silent, since Melda and Allit did not come back yet, while you, Rei and Douma aren't speaking at all, making the most of your rest to gather back your energy. Kogai and Shirayuki would certainly not have minded a bit of chatter, but they did not say anything too, apart from discussing with each other about your training from what you could hear.

There was nothing else to say on this lunch, and it felt like a breeze, before you got back on the training grounds. You were still training with Kogai, as it standed, but this time, she said.

"I have spoken with Shirayuki, Adam, and we came to the conclusion that I will teach you the bases, before she will teach you anything more advanced than this. Now, I think you know what to do, since your body is not ready anymore."

You let out a deep breath after listening to her last sentence, before starting to warm up once more. She was right at least, your body was not warmed up anymore after eating, even though the lunch felt like a breeze to you. Once again, the warm up left you sweaty and panting, taking a little while to gather your breath, bent over with your hands on your knees, yet you eventually stood again, turning to Kogai to continue the training.

"Now." You say. "I think you can teach me the interesting thing, Kogai."

It felt strange to simply call her by her name, with no honorific title, but you didn't dislike it. Despite the familiar way to speak to her, Kogai grinned slightly, showing the palms of her hands to you, without extending her arms. You took a touch of time to look at them, before they suddenly caught on fire, startling you a little, but strangely not that much, surely an effect of living in this world...

"So this is how your fire manifests ?" You ask, seeing how it simply appeared out of nowhere in her hands.

"Indeed, you are right." Kogai replied, as she put out the fire in her hands seemingly using her sheer willpower. "The Primal Fire I use manifests itself either by my hands catching fire, or by my foes doing so, but I do not wish to show you an example of the second scenario."

For a second, you imagined just how it would play out : Kogai hitting her foe with whatever technique she knew, right before the latter catches fire. It made you quickly stop thinking about it though, since your thought became quite horrific very quickly.

"Primal magic can manifest in lots of different ways." Continued Kogai right after you stopped the scenario in your mind, seemingly having waited a bit for you to take in what she said before. "The most common way is through the hands of its user, but depending on how one uses it, it can manifest in tens, maybe hundreds of unique ways, ranging from obvious ones to very strange ones. I know someone who used to have their Primal Earth manifest through their tongue as an example."

"Just... You know what ? I won't ask anything."

You really had no idea how someone could make such a manifestation of magic work, but judging by Kogai's words, they managed to do so. Afterwards, Kogai showed you how she manifested her own magic, explaining what happened inside of her so that you could understand better.

Despite you being new, it didn't take long for you to manifest your magic in both of your hands at once, since you already had some training when you needed to get out of the sanctuary. The magic illuminated Kogai's face as she watched you manifest it with no issues whatsoever, and this achievement seemed to impress her, as she then clapped her hands softly, saying in the mean time.

"Congratulations, Adam, I did not think you would be able to manifest your magic this quickly, but it shows quite well just how Primal Magic is different than normal magic, since you only need a touch of concentration in order to use our magic, while Rei and Douma, as an example, will need some time to cast the spell using their names after having gathered quite a bit of energy."

After she said that, she gave you several more exercises, each one becoming a bit more challenging than the former, but since you were contantly improving, even if it was at a slow rate since learning magic from scratches is not really easy.
