The real training begins

After a while of training your bases, Kogai finally said.

"Well, I think you have all you need to start Shirayuki's training. She will not go easy on you though, so I had to make you prepared for what will come next, since you for sure will need it."

Afterwards, she went inside of the manor, leaving you alone, which made you ponder what you had to do for a second, before you sighed and finally decided to join Shirayuki, who was already training Rei and Douma some more.

"It seems like Kogai finished your training." Said Shirayuki with a light smile after she noticed you. "Do not worry, Adam, my training may be hard, but it will only get easier as time goes on. For now, I will tell you a little more about your Primal Ice."

She then gestured to the two other girls training, Rei's foxy tail wagging slowly as she was fully focused on her spells, while Douma's wings trembled slightly because of the sheer amount of energy she had spent on her spells already.

"You see," Started Shirayuki. "Primal Magic is far powerful than normal magic because of one simple thing : its limit. It is only limited by your imagination, even though one tend to use air more as support and fire more offensively as an example. Yet, the contrary could be done. As for you, the ice you bear can be used both offensively and defensively, yet mostly defensively, but you will often see Primal Ice users use it to armor themselves before attacking with heavy weapons. That is a strategy I recommend for you, and it will be a base for your training."

It was far more than you thought already, as you really only thought of the defensive potential ice could give you, but also using it offensively was a viable solution too, wasn't it ? But you still ask, seeing as Shirayuki looked like she knew far more about ice than what she let you see.

"Why do you recommend this strategy and no other one ? I mean, there could be one that would suit me better than this, even if I'm not sure about how I want to use this magic yet."

"Well, the answer to your question is right in front of us." Shirayuki casually replied, gesturing to Rei and Douma. "This strategy relies heavily on teamwork, and since you are part of a party, you need teamwork in order to be able to go much further than you would alone."

After she said this, Shirayuki snapped her fingers before saying "Master Illusion.", which made an illusion appear between her and you, a perfect illusion of her, not moving a muscle.

"Now, I want you to freeze this illusion. You have the rest of the day to do so, and you will need it, trust me."

And before you could do or say anything, she was already going to see Rei and Douma to continue their training, leaving you a bit **** to train now, which you started doing.

You... Were absolutely not prepared for this. Despite being able to make small ice cubes, you tried to create some around the illusion, but you quickly found yourself unable to do so for some reason, as if the illusion's magic was interfering with your own, but how was it possible ?

You were fine with using your magic on yourself though, since you tried freezing your right arm, and it worked wonders, leaving it numb for more than an hour after you did so. You knew the issue did not come from you thanks to this, but where did it come from then ? You pondered this question while making bigger and bigger ice cubes in your hand, using half of your focus to think about the question, while the other half just focused on creating the ice.

You did not find any solution about this issue while thinking, and so you focused more and more on it, leaving your ice to do its thing by itself. At some point though, you felt something odd in the ice, and lifted your head to find out that something quite strange happened.
