It turns out the forest is a little bit haunted

"You see, that was pretty good" said Natsu.

"I know" said Katrina, "I'm just scared we might run into something we can't beat"

Katrina and Natsu went deeper into the forest in search of more greater dryads. They ended up coming across a fog of ghosts. The ghosts came closer and closer. Like a pack of wolves surrounding their prey, there rounds became tighter and tighter.

Natsu fired a beam of darkness into one of the ghosts, destroying it. Another ghost flew at them but Natsu destroyed it with another of darkness attack. Unfortunately, Katrina herself had no way of fighting these ghosts. Out of boredom, Katrina decided to claw the ghosts.

To her surprise, it her cat claws actually damaged the ghost.

"What? How does that work?"

Katrina remembered the crystal that Marcia gave her and used it to suck ghosts inside. Another ghost popped out a bush, scaring Katrina but Natsu blasted it with her darkness.

"These ghosts are not much a challenge to you, are they?" said Katrina.

"Nope" said Natsu, "they're weak to my darkness attacks"

"Question, how did your darkness attacks hurt the demon?"

"Demon aren't made of darkness and even if they were, humans are made of meat but if one punched another, it would still hurt"

Natus blasted some more ghosts.

"I've faced ghosts before. A few of them are not so bad but if they get too many, they can cause some real disasters. The Order usually deals with it, though. Unfortunately, they don't like the whole absorbing the energy of the dead thing that Marcia does"

"Why are there a bunch of ghosts here?" asked Katrina.

"Not sure" said Natsu, "I think they might be fallen dryads or people killed by dryads"

Katrina and Natsu continued to hunt for more dryads and ghosts, mostly focusing on ghosts that Katrina would suck into her crystal. Suddenly a much larger ghost appeared before them.

"Oh fuck" said Katrina.

"Duck!" shouted Natsu.

Natsu jumped and knocked Katrina to ground, saving them from the ghost's blade strike.

"Dammit, this is way stronger than a normal ghost" she said.

Natsu fired a blast of darkness at the ghost. The grabbed the darkness with its hand and threw it back at Katrina and Natsu who jumped out the way. Natsu fired another attack, hitting the ghost in the face.

"Okay, I've blinded it. Lets hide"

Katrina and Natsu hid behind a tree.

"This is a too powerful" said Katrina, "we should run"

"Fleeing might not be an option" said Natsu, "it'll probably catch us if we run and even if we do escape, it might follow us back to our hideout"

Natsu moved out from the tree and hit the ghost with a dark attack. It violently turned round and ran towards her and Katrina. Natsu fired more darkness but the ghost was able to slice the darkness in half with its sword. When it got close, Natsu blasted it right in the face, blinding it again.

"Yes, we just gotta keep this up" said Kat, as she and Natsu hid behind a rock.

However when they came out, the ghost was ready for them and swung his blade at Natsu, slashing her. Natsu shouted in pain.

"Fuck" said Kat.

Kat realised she'd made the mistake of thinking this was a boss fight, that the ghost wasn't capable of learning their moves just like they learned his. The ghost lifted Natsu up by her neck. Natsu stabbed the ghost with her darkness blade.

She helplessly watched as the ghost held Natsu by with one hand, draining the life from her. This was when Kat she decided to use the crystal to absorb he ghost. The ghost was too big for the crystal to work on.

However it did attract the ghost's attention. It raised its blade to Kat. However Natsu shoved her entire hand into the ghost's mouth. She used this hand to fire a massive beam of darkness that obliterated the ghost.

Kat turned to Natsu.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

"I nearly died" Natsu said.

"I do not wanna fight one of those again any time soon" said Kat.

Natsu pulled Kat into a kiss.
