All these relatively civilized communities are in a hostile environment - the threat of nomads, mutants or aggressive fauna is quite high.

Trade and diplomatic relations are maintained only at the cost of great sacrifices.

What have you managed to learn about what is happening in the western part of the Eurasian continent?

In Western Europe, the so-called French Question is one of the hottest topics because France is politically divided with the House of Orleans established the Kingdom of Neustria in the northwest, the Republic of Burgundy in the east and the United Duchies of Aquitaine-Gascony-Septimania-Corsica, simply known as the United Duchis, established by the House of Bonaparte in the south and on the island of Corsica.

These "states" do not control the regions completely - rather, local power is based on a collection of outposts and small settlements that are **** to constantly defend themselves from attacks by numerous aggressive mutants.

And there are indeed a lot of mutants here...

It seems that numerous French nuclear power plants detonated as a result of World War III...

Places suitable for agriculture and relatively acceptable life are few in number and surrounded by radioactive wastelands.

Nearby, you and Eva can see why the Orange Kingdom is now a thing. It is because most of the Low Countries have been flooded, thus resulting in the countries that made up of the Low Countries such as the Netherlands and Belgium to be underwater in nowadays.

A little further south, the Italian peninsula has been severed from the European mainland, resulting in a shallow sea to be created between it. In the south of the peninsula is where the Kingdom of Naples and Sicily ruled by the House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies is located with the Papal States functioned as the buffer state in the north that is the United Provinces of Emilia-Romagna-Tuscany-Liguria, simply known as the United Provinces. On the Italian mainland and on the island of Sardinia, the House of Savoy is now once again in control of the Kingdom of Sardinia-Piedmont while the Republic of Venice has been revived with Lombardy being part of it.

Base on the Falkland Islands, settlements on the Cornwall Peninsula, a naval base in northwest Scotland, coastal settlements in South Africa, Malaysia and some other regions such as Australia and New Zealand, the Royal Navy once again dominated the world's oceans.

The British Commonwealth retains some relics of ancient technologies that allow it to maintain the unity of these regions and at least somehow avoid complete isolation.

Back in the Balkans, the rule of the House of Habsburg has been restored in Austria, Czechia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina and are united together into a new state called the Federated Realms of Danubia with Liechtenstein joining them while in Albania and Kosovo, the Sultanate of Albania under the House of Osman has been established. As for Hungary, Romania and Moldova, they are now united into Wallachia-Hungary-Moldova, most likely as a result of the Hungarian and Moldovan governments elected the Romanian royal family as their monarchs. And finally, Greece and Anatolia is united as the Isaurian Empire.

From what you read, Wallachia-Hungary-Moldova functioned as three sovereign states that are in the military and diplomatic alliances with one another that happened to be sharing the same royal family.

As a result, the Japanese-Korean Empire was formed…

In East Asia, the entirety of the Korean peninsula is now reunified as the Kingdom of Korea and is sharing a monarch with the Japanese Empire and Taiwan and the Sakhalin Island are also added to create new prefectures for Japan. And apparently, the Japanese-Korean Empire functioned in the fashion similar to Wallachia-Hungary-Moldova as well. As for China, it is divided into north and south with the north remained loyal to Mao Zedong's ideology while the south embraced democracy of the nationalists who fled to Taiwan back then.

Africa, however, changed quite a lot. A large shallow sea that began at the borders between Tunisia and Libya ended up splitting North Africa apart and divided the Sahara Desert into two, thus turning the world's largest desert into one of the greenest areas in the world while the Nile River is now flooded to the point that Blue and the White Nile Rivers also flooded all the way back to their sources, thus creating one of the world's longest and biggest swamps.

As a result, the nations such as the Caliphate in the Lands of Sudan and the Ethiopian Empire not only revived but also thrived! And both African states are being led by the Caliph and the Negus respectively. As for South Africa, it remained as one of the many territories within the British Commonwealth across the world.

"Apparently, monarchies are restored in many places around the world. Most likely because the peoples needed their monarchs to lead them when the previous governments collapsed.

Although the question remains about the true connection between the families of the current ruling monarchs and the ancient dynasties... It is quite possible that the current rulers simply appropriated the ancient names of the dynasties, based on vague echoes of the past and the desire to justify their power with the imaginary fact of observing ancient traditions.

And from the look of it, Europe, Asia and Africa seemed to be on the path of recovery. A good one to be exact!" - You think to yourself.

Then, you and Eva refocused on the Western Hemisphere, specifically at what used to be the North American continent.

And by just looking at the map, you found more than just the Republic of Florida, the Republic of Texas, the Republic of Yucatan and the Dominican Republic that now dominated the entirety of the Hispaniola.

There are other states such as Deseret Theocracy at where the State of Utah used to be and the Republic of California also formed at where the remnant of the State of California is located as well. Up in the northeast where the borders between the United States and Canada used to exist, there is the Republic of Madawaska that claimed to be the successor of Canada and is planning to expand westward to reclaim Canada in the name of the British Crown.

"Have they even contacted the government in Edinburgh yet?" - You think to yourself as you are staring at the information regarding the Republic of Madawaska, the self-proclaimed successor of Canada.

As for the islands in the Caribbean Sea such as the Bahamas and Jamaica, they too are part of the British Commonwealth while Cuba and Puerto Rico are now part of Spain once again.
